anyone who use this frequently.

Is it just me or is it not opening properly i open it then it closes after a couple of seconds

I know of someone using the new(ish?) version who has that problem. I have an older version which works fine...
When I speak to him i'll find out if/how he fixed it...

Apparently you have to start it up when not connected to the internet (don't dial up or pull out your network cable). Once it has started, connect to the internet and then the DC network.

I haven't tried it though so no guarantees...

Already some hacked versions are out there to fix this, but the really easy work-around is to block 'dcplusplus.sourceforge.net' either with your firewall software or in your hosts file. Once you do that, you can start DC++ or BCDC++ again.
