getting into irc, when behind a firewall.

this topic have been seen before,
but I havent yet seen a good suggestion to the problem.

I am behind a very "strict" firewall, and would like to be at irc.
Not Quakenet, EFnet or PA net. where i use port 8080 to connect
But DALnet.

Have tested several progs ( HTTP Tunnel.. ETC)
and nothing have succeeded.

Running win XP

more info needed?

Hope someone have a solution to my "problem"

If it lets you trough on 8080, it prolly lets you trough on other non-irc ports too. Find a dalnet server with nonstandard ports open.

[Edit] Which might prove hard, as you can't even find Dalnet server swith standard ports open these days...

dalnet is crap now only 2 servers work and they dont allow file sharing now

At times the user count has dropped from over 110K to only a few thousand. As a result of these on-going attacks, connecting to DALnet can be challenging.
