The Shoe People
I've spoken to 2 people today of my age or older (me being 19), who not only can't remember The Shoe People, but have questioned my sanity when I brought the subject up.
Someone please tell me I'm not insane, there's pictures! Margot! SHE WAS A BALLET SHOE!

Every time you're skipping down the street
Think about the shoes upon your feet today
It's a magic world when your toes uncurl
Sh-sh-sh-shoe people
Sh-sh-sh-shoe people
Sh-sh-sh-shoe people
Sh-sh-sh-shoe people
Sh-sh-sh-shoe people
Sh-sh-sh-shoe people
What've you got between you and the ground
When you want to dance or simply run around
There's some friends down there to take you everywhere
Sh-sh-sh-shoe people
Sh-sh-sh-shoe people
Sh-sh-sh-shoe people

No need to be insulting, being only 18 myself the last remark was meant to be humourous, and the previous line was directed at the person with the previous quote.
As for the top line, that was directed at you, but was not meant to be in any way insulting, merely answring your question.
You shut it ****face. (*'s to replace which ever word mr Ed here intended in his, many will fit)

it's the muppet show!
it's time to play the music, it's time to light the lights
it's time to meet the muppets on the muppet show tonight!
it's time to put on makeup, it's time to dress up right
it's time to raise the curtain on the muppet show tonight!
why do we always come here
i guess we'll never know
it's like a kind of torture to have to watch the show!
and now lets get things started
why don't you get things started?
it's time to get things started on the most sensational, inspirational, celebrational, muppetational
this is what we call the muppet show!!!!
*splat*

I was once genuinly traumatised by Fingermouse when he got attacked by a fox.
Tugs scared me when the harbour burnt down and all the boats were floating around panicing.
Jimbo scared me when he got lost in the Bermuda Triangle with Old Timer. (I carried on watching Jimbo, but I gave up on the rest)
If I were American, I would sue and have psychiatrist, but because I'm English, I won't.
