possible GD meet
ok, so people have been hassling me about this (well, jer has) since i suggested on GD i might have a meet at my place.
What i wanna know is if i did, would anyone come? I live about 8 miles south of norwich (on a bus route), and i'm willing to have people over anytime after around mid-october. there's plenty of space for people to crash here, and i could probably see my way to cook some food for everyone.
There's a pub in the village we could go to to scare the locals, or we could just hang out and cause havoc at my house...or go out in the city or some shit. whatever people want to do....if indeed anyone is interested.
so yeah, if you'd come, or have any suggestions for dates, lemme know.

Re: possible GD meet
I would be up for it I just need to know when in advance.
I'm down in London for work on the 12th/13th Oct so if you made it the 14th that would be easy for me to drive up (and give lifts to people, so long as they don't mind meeting me in Sidcup)
It's more difficult coming from Manchester though...

Re: possible GD meet
As I mentioned to you, I can't make it unless it's on a weekday before the 23rd September (which is when I go back to Cardiff).
I doubt I can then make it back to this side of the country until the end of October.

Oh, and I might come, all that's stopping me saying yes is my inability to plan ahead.

It's funny because Dace has sent me pictures on my phone of his sister so he obviously would LOVE to have me as a brother-in-law
(or maybe he wants to swap sisters - he gets the better deal as he gets the choice of two whereas I'm stuck with just his one )

That's rather sad, being the overprotective brother to project machoschism is so 1955!
Or maybe he's aware of his sister's genetically weak points and trying to do the human genepool a good favor.

More likely he is aware of KoeN's genetic weak points and is trying in his own small way to minimise the chances of them being passed on.
Every little helps right.

Actually what happened is that KoeN met my sister for like 15 minutes when he was staying with me and then proceeded to bug the hell out of me for more than a year about her (mentioning her every day) so i eventually put him on ignore.
"Hey Pete why isn't your sister responding to my emails?"
"Hey Pete why isn't your sister responding to my text messages?"
"Hey Pete i phoned your sister today. She seems to be really busy at the moment."
ALL - THE - ****ING - TIME!
It's not me being over-protective it's KoeN being (very, very) dull and repetitive.
And as for KoeN promising never to mention her again ... he does it all the time. He promised again the other night then mentioned her within the hour. He's mentioned her again in this thread and he's mentioned her again on irc last night. Like i said it's dull.
And just because it's you who's trying to stir shit SilverSmoke ... "oi tubby ****ed any men today? I bet you have you ****in homo."

I don't know if I'm regular enough to come to anything like this, but depending on the weekend (I only get about 1 in 3 weekends off) I would be interested.

Don't be foolish, if everyone didn't like you (which I think is exceedingly unlikely given that you're pretty ace apart from all the crappy self-confidence issues) then we wouldn't tell you. We would just keep inviting you so as not to hurt your feelings, it's not like we want a GD suicide on our hands
