Pods classes

Just wanted to see what some thought about this idea I just had.

So we switch the research somehow to the following:

You can pick which ship class you want to have pods in, Maximum of 2 and it can't be changed for the duration of the round.

Seems like it could get interesting. Although I'm aware that everyone would have picked FR pods this round.

All depends on how the stats are made.

It wouldn't work as there are a clear set of stats each round that balance each race.
