Turning Dream car into reality
A friend of mine has whipped up a modded car design which I absolutely love and I am wondering who to contact to actually have it created. I have looked through various magazines but they all refer to contacts of various specialists - I am after somewhere where they'll contact the various companies and remove all hassles, mainly because I don't have sufficient knowledge about the ins and outs of differentiating a car and so fourth.
Thanks for any help.

Send Xzibit and the West Coast Customs crew an email, i'm sure they'll help out and probably stick a 42" flat screen in the back of your car too.

Re: Turning Dream car into reality
You need scrapheap challenge. Or failing that id assume you find the nearest chavs/rudeboys/pikeys/scallys whatever infests your locality, find them and ask them where those atrocious modifications are done and if any of them are willing to workfor you for a penny a day. If you're talking about building a completely new car from scatch i don't know what to say apart from it has to fulfill that special MOT thing.

Re: Turning Dream car into reality
Contact any of the major car manufacturers such as Ford, GM, Toyota etc. as they would surely snap up your friends design and have it rolling of the production lines and into a showroom near you quicker than you could say "reality used to be a friend of mine" in several different languages, including Plutonion .

Re: Turning Dream car into reality
Dont listen to the twats Androme2
your best bet imo is good old www.google.com
Shame you dont live in essex theres loads of places for car mods around here, the other day i was walking down the street and i saw and astra go past at a speed comparable to a WRX or a high end BMW (the only thing that bothered me was that he was approching a roundabout )
Just dont get a really big exhaust they look so stupid.

Re: Turning Dream car into reality
Essex is a shithole.
It's a shithole because it's full of fkwit-chavs who do unspeakable things to their cars.
And how, pray tell, can you discern that the astra was doing a speed comparable to a WRX or 'high-end' BMW when you were walking?
Do you carry a GATSO on your shoulder?
It's not possible.
It's not clever.
It just isn't cricket.

Re: Turning Dream car into reality
I really dont like these retards who put the big exhausts on battered old fiestas and novas. I was getting out of my car in the carpark the other day and was milling around waiting for a mate when this giant rumble got closer and closer then pulled in.
I started laughing. Genuinely laughing. IT was a battered old rusty Fiesta. No moidifications. No redone paint. Not lowered. A bog standard fiesta. Except for 4 brand new shiny exhausts the same size as footballs (im not exagerrating here) arranged so that there was two of them together then about 3 inches of space and then the other two.
He looked like a complete and utter retard. Especially when he still had the 1.2 engine badge on the back. He cruised past some girls who just started giggling.
Its the worst case of car modification ive ever seen. At least the nova type people have the sense to do other things first before adding on exhausts that wouldnt look out of place on the Apollo moon rockets.

Re: Turning Dream car into reality
each car manufacturer usually has around 2 or 3 top design/modding garages so find out what garages do mods for ur cars model and give them a try or look at their websites.
For example in uk Ecosse are peugot mod specailists and Veilside for modded vauxhalls. Buy a car mod mag to find full list of garages

heh, good idea
Although they're doing a Pimp My Ride UK now so maybe they'll help you. Though the UK version probably has no budget so they'll just stick a spoiler on the back and be done with it.

Well it was a 1993ish hatchback astra, and they wernt excatly fast (1.4 up to 2.0 i think), and i cant express in words how fast it was going! it was insane, i like most people can tell if a car is going very fast or not when im walking its called.....wait for it......big word.......perception.
..............im not a chav......

Yes, you can discern as to whether or not it is travelling fast.
How you can discern that it was travelling at the same speed as a 'WRX or high end BMW' though is the funny part.

Cos those kind of cars speed around here all the time and that astra was seemingly going a hell if a lot faster than they do, the only thing worse than a speeding chav in a done up nova is a speeding chav in a impretza, they have far too much money around here :S

I suggest contacting Jaguar. They may be able to fit your Ka into the ashtray of the Jag, maybe without removing the doors.

Re: Turning Dream car into reality
Do you intend to bolt on all manner of aesthetic faggotry in order to chav up this car whilst neglecting pretty much all the unimportant internal bits, such as the Engine, Transmission, etc?
These rolling circus sideshows have enough neon lights, flashy spinny wotsits, guages and shiny 'bling' to instantly cause an epileptic seizure.
What fun! (?)
Or do you intend to do a proper job of it and worry more about the internal workings?

Re: Turning Dream car into reality
I bet you're gutted you missed the "mod your car up" episode of Blue Peter now, aren't you?
Well all you need is some scissors, glue, stickyback plastic and a couple of coathangars.
Once you have procured these items come back and I'll tell you what to do next.

turning your dream car into reality will invariably involve a succession of scalebacks and corner cutting which will turn this into this
