combat engine question

Hi. I have a few questions about combat engine specifics:

1. EMP.
How is it calculated how many ships are frozen? Does Armor of the targetted ships have any importance, or just E/R? (emp resistance) and how does the EMPer's guns come into play?

2. Stealing.
Is the amount of enemy ships stolen determined simply by the stealer ships' damage divided by the target ships' armor? (i.e like usual)
How is the amount of dead stealers determined?

The steal ships have init 20. If you steal something with a worse init (pods or SKs at 30 and 40 respectively), will those pods and/or SKs fire when their init comes up?)

Re: combat engine question

1) EMP ships shoot X times..
theoreticly every shot can stun a ship
The only thing that keeps the EMPing from happening is EMP resistance, armor is irrelevant

so if 100 guns.. shoot X ships with 80 emp resistance each..
then an average of 20 ships get frozen

2) Stealing is exactly like killing
If a ship gets stolen, its removed out of combat
so if you steal it at init 1.. the stolen ship will not be able to do anything
