Re: in between ticks

wow 5 clicks... something to keep people interested then, sounds more like a chore than a game.

Re: in between ticks

Let me rephrase that, anything from 5 clicks (compare it to keeping con/res running but less effort), to 24/7 for world domination.

Re: in between ticks

After a couple of days logging in and levling up, I gain a little universal currency called Gold, and so does the people who sign up with a ref. Its win-win.
The economy is entirly player-ruled and each nation has its own currency and productmarket.
But for people who use irc, most things are cheaper when you trade with gold, plus alot of things cant be bought with regular currencies.
The map has 50 different nations, this is only a piece of europe.
Battles run in 2-hour rounds and first to 8 wins.

Re: in between ticks

i see

i'm a little disappointed about this "battles" bit. had it been a "purely" economic simulation it could have triggered more curiosity. internet providers for such fascinating, albeit limited, vacuums to observe economic interaction in. sadly, the cost-benefit incentives are often too small to provide for reasonable comparisons.

Re: in between ticks

The economical part is the sole reason for some players to stick around.
You can buy and sell currencies for profit, this requires a little knowledge and activity though, its not my strongest side to guide in.

Governments put various taxes, both on work and on products.

Out-of-game tools exist, but not quite as elaborate ones as for PA, yet. There is also a wiki, for the curious ones.
