Re: B&Q and the AC Unit that never was (a story!) - a milf features \o/
DJ : Ive 'lived' in Florida for around 2 months where average temperatures hit about 40 everyday and the humidity according to the 'weatherman' was 100% every single day.
However much like Australia i dont sleep in that weather. Its outside. Outside my window and outside my Airconditioned bubble of beautiful 20/22 degrees.
When you are trying to sleep and the temperature is around 30/32 degrees and its really quite humid. Yes a fan helps but its still rather uncomfortable.
Plus my room heats up most of the rest of upstairs.
Quote:
Just buy a fan and turn off the PC's. Simple.
|
A fan blows air around. It doesnt cool it :. the air stays humid and warm. (oh yay warm air being blown around my room aces)
And like ive said 2349123098912304 times before. The PC is on all day for work.

under health and safety law offices have to be kept higher than 16 degrees.
on the contract I was working on the temperature had to be kept between 18 and 24 degrees in the offices (ie if it was within those limits we could tell the complaining civil servants to shut up and stop moaning)
I think 21 is meant to be the optimum.

It is so. That's what my company says too.

jesus we think alike! do you also have midget tranny porn on your computer?!!? out of curiosity because i've cancelled the piece of neutron star from being delivered, would it have had an exhaust hose long enough for the plan to work? i was thinking of sticking it as far out as possible then possibly re-directing the air with fans along the hallway
i further considered purchasing an evaorative cooler but they're utterly wank in any humidity above 60% and barely colder than a fan so near enough useless in britain.

Incidently i don't know how you people in australia live, id cower inside with the air conditioning 24/7 and develop translucent skin, id also build barriers to keep the killer hamsters and assorted animals out.

Get a Dremel, two lengths of big air-tunnelling hose like you'd get on an A/C unit or a tumble drier, and make some modz.

Place a cooling element like the one in a fridge behind the fan; it'll make the fan blow around some pretty cold air instead of the same warm air.

But then you have to dispose of the heat generated from the cooling element =(
Disaster!

Just put a bowl of ice/cold water in front of the fan and it blows cold air, not warm air.
That and take a cold flannel to bed.

18 is my perfect temperature and has been all of my life. I find anything over 22 is noticeable, over 24 and I am standing in the shade. 29 and I need air con.
guess what. people's bodies are different!!
