I agree, that they are the favourite to finish #2. I am sure some people joined xVx this round in the hope, that they would get a less bumpy passage due to xVx presumably close ties to Ascendancy (working together before, Cardi joining etc)

But I have to disagree with classifying them as top tiered.
In my opinion, there is only one alliance at the top tier this round.

I think it's good that everyone has seemingly spontaneously rejected bothering fighting Asc. Why play their game and lose cause they're better when you can play your own game and have fun doing it.

Let them win, nothing given is worth a damn compared to something earned.
