security

just something that has bugged me a little so i hope i can explain it properly
if someone is trying to scan you should the chance of success be affacted by your security level as in my opinion trying to be scanned falls under security and if it doesnt should it

Re: security

I think you may find that the chances of success are already covered by distorters and amps. Security has nothing really to do with me scanning you from several galaxies away, save your security for those little ships that drop of and pick up my resource stealing agents.

Re: security

indeed they are covered by amps and dist but surely someone trying to scan u is classed as security breach and following from that scanning should be included within security

Re: security

This might be looked at more in PAN, but for the moment scanning and covert ops are entirely unrelated

Generally, its a good idea to Planet Scan someone before using that resource transfer covert op on them, thus scans and covert ops arent entirely unrelated .

But, you're right insofar as they are pretty close to being totally unrelated :\.

Re: security

Maybe a certain security level could give you the cords/type of scan of the ones you block?

Don't expect realism from a universe where you can magically teleport your planet accross galaxies though
