As many of you probably know by now
MAVAV, or the Mothers Against Videogame Addiction and Violence, has turned out to be one of the largest hoaxes of the year. The MAVAV incident which sparked a heated debate on many gaming forums, until the release of this
report, tricked about 50,000 people, and led to front page articles on IGN, Slashdot, and Penny Arcade. So my question is, honestly, how many of you were brought in by the web page? I did notice some people in the Jolt Forums, and even someone in Planetarion Discussions sporting the
defaced MAVAV Banners in their signatures, which were parodies off the banners posted in
MAVAV's Awareness Page. If you just heard of this page now, take a quick look at it and tell me if you find it believable.
