Allowing for team-ups on the alliance attack page
Most on PA have never used the alliance attack page before but for those that have, one major shortcoming is that you can't have more than one person claim a wave. There is no way to have a team-up with the current tools.

"We in Ascendancy" also have single user booking and we've never had any trouble with it.

Maybe once a wave is claimed it gets three little dots next to it
ExampleTarget X:Y:Z P D N A Slot 1: Entropy ... / Slot 2 / Slot 3 REM
and this would be a button which allowed you to attach yourself to that wave.
This would only display the main claimer for each wave but perhaps another button next to REM such as DETAILS, could give a breakdown of the members on each wave.

To get to this point I suppose something like below would suffice:
Planet XYZ Scans Slot1 Slot 2 Slot 3 Special
LALA 1:2:3 P D A CLAIM/JOIN CLAIM/JOIN CLAIM/JOIN SLOTS/CLAIMALL/REM
CLAIM = for solo claimer
JOIN = for team ups, with outcome similar to what Entropy mentioned.
SLOTS: adding a slot to the columns (perhaps with a max?)
Also, in addition : remove planet name and insert race, roids, value, and score on the place where now "Planet" data is inserted

and what about people who dont have dual monitors? You're gonna have to do a lot of scrolling to see all this information.

Maybe a little revamp might be needed: organising the data vertically instead of horizontally.
First column:

hehe the column headers would lose a bit of meaning once you'd scrolled down to say the 10th planet unless the headers can be locked to the page when you scroll down (like in excel) and the attack page goes from being viewable on 1 page to needing to be scrolled down a lot to get to the bottom of the page. and even more if there are 2-3 attack gals.

I agree with the locked headers... Regards your second point: Design vs Usefulness... I prefer usefulness in a decent design Do you have any suggestions to reconcile these issues, Entropy?

Maybe remove the planet name, i only ever look at the coords anyway, not sure how it is for anyone else. but this would free up a lot of room and you could fix the column width (unlike planet names being variable length, coords will only ever be one max size).
Coords | Scans | Slot 1: Entropy/JOIN Slot 2: +Membrivio/JOIN Slot 3
The + next to your name would open an expandable box showing all claimants on that planet
