Which actor makes a movie "Cool" by default?
I know the cop out answer for this is Samuel L Jackson , and my own personal choice , Ving Rhames, but who do the good people of GD think makes a movie cool simply through sheer screen presence , and dialogue which simply couldnt be said by anyone else without sounding stupid or cheesy.

A cool movie defines how cool the movie's coolness is.

Most actors have been in **** which devalues their coolness.
For instance - Al Pacino, Rob DeNiro and Samuel Jackson are all safeish bets but between them : Rocky and Bullwinkle, Any Given Sunday & SW : Episode 1 - shudder.
My choice would be Gary Oldman (although Pacino might be a better one).

For Pacino , i will raise you Devils Advocate (Keanu Reeves also doing himself no favours)
For De Niro , i will raise you "15 Minutes" or whatever that horrific one with him and Edward Norton was.

American Football isn't a sport.
And definitely Christopher Walken (King of NY ROCKED). He was even in Annie Hall in a cool role.

One of the rules is "There is nothing in this world that cannot be marketed better using the voice of James Earl Jones."
Hence, anything with James Earl Jones in it is automatically "Cool."
