It's Official. I Don't Live in Paradise.

For some time now, I have been aware that Stockton, California may not be the paradise that you probably believe it is. However, I think it is now official that we are less than a paradise, even by Stockton standards.

Such things as Stockton ranking in the top ten in violent crime in California are clues. Then it came out that we were number two in car theft in Califronia. Then it came out that Stockton had the lowest literacy rate of any city of more than 250,000 people in the United States.

Now a new study comes out where all of the cities over 250,000 population were asked to rate their cities in various catagories. This was to see what the perception of the cities was in the mind of the residents. Out of over 300communities surveyed Stockton finished next to last.

The decision is in. The people of Stockton recognize their city as one of the biggest shit holes in the country.

In case I was not sure if the rest of my fellow Stocktonians were correct, my house was burglarized this week end.
