GuilFest (Festival in Guildford)
http://www.guilfest.co.uk/
Has anyone ever been to this?
If so, what is it like?
I don't trust their "What to expect" section.

A-HA
Embrace
Billy Idol??
I'd seriously consider garrotting myself as a means of entertainment before embarking on that fag-capade.
Each to their own though.

A girl from my work is going to it. She went last year too. Apparantly she enjoyed it *shrug*

Lost prophets are playing on the 19th if you want something better to do
I haven't ever heard of it before, I guess there's a couple of smaller bands I'm vaguely interested in seeing.. of course, the lineup doesn't matter too much if the atmosphere's good.

Re: GuilFest (Festival in Guildford)
I havent heard of 90% of the bands playing and out of the remaining 10%, there's none I'd particularly want to listen to. Your opinoin may vary. I dont really know what youre asking anyway - if you like the music and/or want a day out then go watch the bands, if not then dont

Re: GuilFest (Festival in Guildford)
I live about 15 minutes from Guildford, so I suppose I might go, if only for the comedy. If I can be bothered. Which seems unlikely.

That's a rather impertinent question, young man.

Re: GuilFest (Festival in Guildford)
You've changed since you became expert in the west man. I remember back in 732 near Tours we stood shoulder to shoulder and held back the Muslim horde

Only because Theuderic had promised me Burgundy. The lying git. Well, his dynasty could never mess with me again, I made damned sure of that.

Re: GuilFest (Festival in Guildford)
Guilfest appears to be a more 'family friendly' type festival, so it's basically a festival without the morons or the theft presumably but there will be 'families' around. I have been tempted in the past but this year I thought the artist list stank so there's no chance of me going (although hayseed dixie are )
I didn't know you were still at surrey Hicks, I've been down the road at the College of Law
