his beginning
Capt. Roadkill stands at the view port and looks out among the endless aray of stars that are set before him and longs to return to but he knows that after his return to the bridge of a Battleship, but he knows that after the court marshal he will never be able to stand on a military ship again. He cringes at the thought of flying cargo through the galaxy as a simple trader of goods, never again seeing the thrill of combat, or the adrenaline run through his body. But with the hearing minutes away, Capt. Roadkill had to make a choice, and do it now...
Roadkill turned away from the window and began walking and found he was not alone, he had an armed escort to take him to the court room where he was to hear his final verdict in which he already kne the outcome. Moments away from the courtroom, they passed the airlock and this was the Captains only chance and he knew it....
In a flury that neither gaurd expected nor was prepared for, Roadkill extended his arm and with a swift chop to the throat felled one gaurd and with a fierce kick to the head, disabled the other gaurd, dropping him to the floor. After checking to make sure both men were still alive, Capt. Roadkill raced through the airlock to the awaiting ship where he knew what he had to do...
He would never be allowed back to the Fleet nor would he ever be able to follow the orders of the pompous old men who gave him the orders and for that he was glad, swiping his keycard to the security access panel, he eerged onto the hangar and picked a ship at random and ran up the entry bay and through the ships catacombs of hallways until he was at the bridge...
by now, there was some comotion aboard the spacestation and he knew why, so without haste, he started up the ships engines and threw it into as fast as was safely possible and got as far away from the space station as he could before engaging what was obviously the linear drive and came out somewhere in the galaxy he did not yet know where...
One thing was certain, Capt. Roadkill was from this day forth.... a Space Pirate
