heh, i don't know how many of you guys remember me, but i certainly see alot of familiar names, like Dachi, Lady hawk (i thought you retired) and a few others i rembemer vaguely... Just popped in to say hello folks, not sure if i still have the old roleplaying keyboard anymore but i might give it a shot from time to time now that i see there's some familiar faces around

Cheese is still knocking around here somewhere. So are quite a few other people from 'back then'. There's no OOC because they were all pale and inadequate imitations of the first one (or so I was told. I wouldn't know because I can't actually remember the first one...).

well, i can't say i know the first HrH or the first OOC, but i did notice the various spawns of the OOC that have been around have never been as good as the OOC back then, when i first joined (and became an officer), the HrH stopped on these boards quite some time ago, tough i don't know the exact reason for that.

I think it's still around on its own board, look at PK's signature for the webby

I remember you, and having seen a HrH around a while ago, but then it just died, dunno why.

I also remember seeing at least one reincarnation of the OOC, but that was really just sacrilage, with all them annoying hit-and run attacks from the OOC to the RfR and vice versa.

Bottom line: Things are pretty much dead here.

Oh, and PK, about sigs... Elfwood's Zone47 and Lothlorien merged a while back, you may want to convert your now non-exsistant Zone47 account before it is deleted

Too true. 'Tis undeniable, the forums are in a sad state. I understand the decline was underway even when I first joined some years ago, but this is the worst I ever remember it having been.

Edit: I just visited the HRH webby and was confronted and most horrifyingly affronted by a terrifying vision: The forums and guestbook didn't work! Is this an actual problem, or have they just moved, leaving the links outdated (Like pretty much all the rest of the site)?

One thigns that ahs to be considered the Rp community here is like everyhthing else, it is placed within flow of time. Time being as it is some things change, some thigsn dont, ergo the boards have gone to another stage of development where other threads are dominant and in this case the hotels and bar threads etc, were not enough in themsleve to survive the transition. Also taking into account the introducation of new users and hence forth, have all combinded to develop into what the baord is now.

From my own opnion I see it as better change into more serious elements of roleplaying and is a chnage for the better, although admitidly some more work needs to be put into that. But im not one to complain since i am not trying myself, that would just be hypercritical of me.

I agree, the worthiest of causes are often the most tiresome and demanding. it is no different in this case. I have grown weary and in need of some good old fashioned roleplaying, without having to confront the true RPer's worst nightmare: having flapjack join the thread
