Just to let you all know: Here is the basic gist of combat.

At the beginning of each combat round, I'll post the status of your opposing ships. For some of them, they will be "1-hit-kills" for some of you cause your weapons are so overpowered. However, when you post, you are not allowed to destroy the ships per say. Of course there is a exception to this rule. If you make a post that you feel will obviously lead to the destruction of the ship, then you can go for it. If it's good enough, congradulations, you won. If not, better ask for some help cause you will need to be towed, if you are lucky.

The stats are there just to help keep you in check, so that you don't go off killing ships left and right when you really shoulden't be able to. More will come as more people post their revised ships (assuming that my computer works after installing the new sound card, currently on a work machine waiting my speakers to arrive at my apartment before turning my system back on.)

I don't expect to make 1 hit-kills, ofcourse it would be nice if we can get neat critical hits that make you do much more damage, or in my case, surprise hits which do extra damage because the enemy is not prepared. In the first case, I might even get to criple enemy ships with a single hit, in the second case, i'll at least be able to show them why you should really be on constant red alert

Name: Red Sky At Dawn
Class: Patrol Destroyer

Ship Description: Assembled by the survivors of the Hope Mission to act as the new body of the shipmind Red Sky At Dawn, sole surviving entity of the Motherships' escorts. The shipmind's vessel had been destroyed in the desparate rearguard battles against the Swarm, but the shipmind managed to secrete itself on board a smaller escape vessel which was launched at the Hope Nebula, disguised as debris. The tiny vessel reached the nebula roughly twenty years after the Motherships, causing quite a stir among the survivors. Someone among the colonists remembered that the Red Sky At Dawn's ship had been crimson, and so they painted the hull of the new ship in a similar way. Try as they might, the computer systems of the Ancients were completely beyond whatever engineers approached them; and so although they found a way to integrate the shipmind with a new ship, they could not produce the advanced systems necessary to bring the entire ship under the shipmind's control. Thus the Red Sky At Dawn is now present as a mere onboard AI system, and is none to happy about it. The shipmind now feels completely helpless and crippled, as though all of its legs and arms had been cut off, were it a physical entity. It is also now bound entirely to the colonists as it requires a human crew to run its ship. Captain Bremnair, a Staff Officer aboard Mothership 1 who saw the Red Sky At Dawn's ship go down as it attempted to hold off the encroaching swarm long enough for the Mothership to escape, volunteered and was accepted for the job of Captain of the new ship, commissioned the Red Sky At Dawn at the request of its shipmind.

Since its body and thus sensors were destroyed in the third battle where the motherships were separated, the Red Sky At Dawn has no recollection of what happened to the Motherships, or to itself, after this. It has made clear its intention to track down a derelict Ancient shipyard, if there are any in existence, and use it to build itself a new body.

The new Red Sky At Dawn has a crew of 200, excluding the 12 pilots and 60 support crew along with the 100 elite marines aboard it. The ship also carries 20 medicinal staff and a team of 8 scientistific technicians to assist the shipmind in running the labs. The shipmind controls the repair and defense drones directly, but control of any major systems is beyond its capabilty at present.

I've already done the checking over everyone else's ships, unfortunately they don't all meet the guidelines so I'm chasing up the changes

Problems :

Richpur - you've put the science lab in at 25 slots when it only uses 15.

Inspectre - you can't put 10 slots of armour on a ship with only 3 hull slots, additional slots can only be used for weapons, engines, shields and additional systems.

No_Dachi - even without the extra engines and taking the AI as being free you've spent 113600 out of your 100000 credits.

Fixed. After talking with Bakan, traded another 20 additional slots for the ability to use Crystalline armor.

*Finally called into a meeting, you all assemble in a moderatly sized conference room, equiped witha bar and some foods. At the head sits a Admiral, looking over several datapads. Looking up, he gestures for you to takes some food and drink.*

Admiral: "Captains, we are now ready to leave our home here in this nebula. You will be the first wave of ships. Already we have launched a series of probes out into the galaxy, to see what the current state of affiairs is."

*Hitting some controls, the Admiral pulls up a hologram of the galaxy, with much of it highlighted in red, with some areas still in blue, with purple lines criss-crossing it.*

Admiral: "This is the galaxy to the best of our knowledge. The red areas indicate where the swarm have conqured, with the blue areas apparently small sectors that either sold out, hid, or are able to repell the swarm. The purple lines show the old Stargate paths. We are hoping that the swarm left the network intact, and to all appaerances it seems that they did. Now, based on the data our probes have gathered so far, we have compiled a list of missions for you to select. Consider them carefully, for at this time we can't send any backup."

Missions

#1: Recon Deneb System
The Deneb system used to be a major mining system. If this system could be taken and a outpost established, a new source for raw materials will be established. This is key to the war efforts and for us to build up our forces. Recon probes have reported moderate Swarm activity. Specifically Gou'uld ships.
Risk Level: Low
Reward: 100,000 credits

#2: Attack Swarm Resupply Base
Our probes have detected a small swarm resupply base nearby. Apparently they haven't learned of our presence..... and we don't want them to. Your mission will to be completly destroy any swarm ship, letting NONE escape. This sector seems to be held by mostly Vong ships.
Risk Level: Medium
Reward: 150,000 credits

#3: Recon Possible Federation Shipyard
Out probes have detected signals from what appears to be a Federation base, specifically a shipyard with a starbase defending it. Somehow they have managed to hide themselves from the Swarm, however from what we have recieved they have fallen under attack. The communications we have recieved are not in sync with ours time-wise, thus we have no way to tell what happened. Your mission will to recon the base, see if it's still there, if so, help hold the base.
Risk Level: High
Reward: 250,000 credits

#4: Recon Former Federation Homeworld: Earth
We want to know what happened to the Homeworld of the Federation. Most likely it has fallen by now, probably hosting a major base. Also, the journey there will require travelling through several areas of Swarm infested space.
Risk Level: SUICIDAL
Reward: 500,000 credits
