Can we not get into a Star Trek VS Star Wars topic here? I'm sure both sides can pull up incredible amounts of horrifingly obscure bits of info to wave in the face of the other side. Besides B5 would vape them all... or Andromeda... the show... not LH's thread.

Background and History: Background and History: Although originally designed to act as a mobile factory to increase production, the demands of the space war caused the Antaeus to be redrawn to accommodate other logistics functions of the QnS fleet. The ship's main hull was expanded to hold new long range weapons systems and provide for the needs of the organics in the fleet with a large hydroponics bay. Modifications were also made to the construction system to allow for ship modifications updates and repairs.

Shortly after the first Antaeus ships were created (before they went on any missions), all of the battleships were outfitted with Kessaku's WIES (pronounced "wise") system, bringing them into the PANTHEON network. PANTHEON (Projected Access Nodal Transuniversal Heuristic Electronic Operations Network) allows the ship to be run without crew. In addition, Pantheon gives the ship the ability to remotely control all of the ships under it, as well as all of its fighters (by controlling up to 250,000 sprites).

Appearance: An Antaeus class vessel has a long flat hull that is fairly tall; the sides come together in a long sharp blade on the top and bottom with the only break being the flat section on the top, middle of the hull that contains the missile tubes. The rear of the ship contains a forward two large ship bays on either side of the hull with two wings protruding from either side. The wings contain a connection to the UC and can assemble large ships on their own as well as help with firing of the GWB’s by providing extra shield fields for shooting. Internally several elevators move freshly constructed ships from the UC to the flight decks. Near the front, a ring of spinning gravity generators is located. The midsection of the hull has two panels that open up on wither side, underneath are large clear panels that allow natural light to filter into the electronics bay.

Singularity Ejection Cannon (1): The weapon generates a black hole inside of the ship and then spins it to generate a SEC, that energy is focused out the front of the ship and out at the target. A complex ring of gravity generators is situated on a ring outside of the ship with more inside of the ship lining a chamber built for containment of the black hole. The internal gravity generators contain the singularity while the outer ones form and spin it to create the GRP. The energy is then focused out of this chamber. Complex magnetic arrays and gravity generators line this part of the weapon and can guide and direct the beam.

Heavy Missile Battery (35): The standard missile contains it's own forward shield generator that resembles the ones found on most GSA ships as well as it's own anti-missile turret located in the nose of the missile. The warhead is a refined hydrogen thermonuclear fission unit that uses lasers and x-rays to get the maximum energy out of the nuclear reaction. The Missile uses an anti-matter drive system and contains its own CDD. While Inside of the firing tube the missile can be moved into higher dimensions in order to hit ships utilizing space distortion defenses.

Fleet Bays: A large segment of the ship’s insides are given over to shuttle bays, which are large enough to hold several destroyers each. Eight large bays, each connected to two long flight decks, (one on top of the other) is used to store ships from fighter up to destroyer size. The Antaeus carries 20 Minion class ships and a small compliment of fighters internally in addition to its normal payload of missiles.

Command and Control Center: The CCC contains a sophisticated sensor and communications array as well as a powerful AI (based off of the Overlord computer system) that can coordinate the actions of a fleet. A powerful ECM warfare unit is also stationed onboard. They can deploy various sensor-jamming devices as well as control the ships ADN. The most sensitive sensors are gravitational based using the entire gravity altering systems to help with the scanning. Powerful subspace sonar is also located onboard, it can emit a powerful pulse through subspace and then measure the effects to locate a ship, and it is nearly impossible to hide a ship within range from a full strength ping.

Gravity arrays: Gravity generators provide a variety of functions for the ship. Along with the BFG they are used to reinforce structural integrity and provide artificial gravity. A measure of shielding can also be provided by creating 'negative' gravity that pushes all objects away from the ship.

Hemosynthetic Conduit System: This network, consisting of blood-filled tubes, runs throughout the ship carrying femtomachines. These purpose-oriented molecules are tied to the ship's life support and computer system. At access points, the bloodstreams can hemosynthesize objects, including food and water packages, as well as dissolve objects. A secondary internal network recycles and dissolves waste, and a third; independent HSCS system carries femtomachines through various parts of the ship where repairs are needed, to control damage automatically, even during combat.

Hydroponics bay: The Hydroponics bays are two large cavities in the lower middle of the ship that run nearly half of it's length. The insides are painted white and filled with artificial sunlight, long see through racks run from end to end and are tended by a few farmers. Outer doors on the hull can be opened to fill the bay with natural sunlight if the ship is in a position to do so. Due to a centralized control station and automated watering/care systems a crew of 6 is all that is needed to fully staff the hydroponics bay and provide food for hundreds of people.

[/size][size=2]Kessaku Electronics CorporationWarship Integrated Electronics System: The WIES system, based on the Megami concept, is a network of sensors, communications, and fire control all built around a centralized computer system. WIES is built for main warships - (battleships, assault ships, and carriers). The WIES system is designed to work with the Qn-d1-3c and Qn-d2-3b starships, as well as future KFY line battleships. WIES is both a subordinate and a master system; it operates as part of a larger command hierarchy of computers, but commands all elements below it. Above WIES is MEGAMI, and KAMI. Under WIES is EIES (Escort Integrated Electronics System; for cruisers, destroyers, and escort carriers) and CIES (Compact Integrated Electronics System; for frigates, corvettes, and gunboats). Such smaller ships are usually under the control of the WEIS, the EIES (or a higher-level system) can take over if necessary (if the WEIS ship is destroyed or unavailable).

The WIES can be divided into several subsystems, which are distributed throughout the ship: The System Core, which consists of the power management system, processor, and central memory system; the inner layer, which includes the environmental control subsystems, force stabilizer (inertial dampener) control, unidirectional sensors, and bridge interfaces; and the outer layer, which holds the majority of the ship non-vital electronic systems: mapping and navigation system, weapons control system, ship defensive systems, omnidirectional Sensors, telepathic communications, translator system, and common control interfaces.

The heart of the integrated electronics suite is an advanced quantum computer, capable of performing super-high-speed data-churning and possessing untold memory. Quantum computers, unlike old computers which could only process 1 and 0, can process an effectively infinite range of digits, making them awesomely powerful. In addition, the system's sub-particle memory system allows for truly magical storage and access speeds. Data processing is further assisted by an electrogravitational temporal distortion field which can increase the processor and memory signal speeds to many times that of light, for use during continuum distortion travel. WIES computers usually share the name of the ship they are on, and if necessary, can run a small group of ships on their own (frigates, corvettes, gunboats). WIES ships can remote control up to 250,000 sprites at one time. The systems were designed by Kessaku Anri and are now by her company, Kessaku Electronics.
More information on the WIES: The AI-driven system can manifest itself as a hologram on the bridge, or through a synthesized body. The computer room is located in an armored room that is normally inaccessible. Since the system is involved in nearly all functions of the ship, it is vitally important. This was brutally clear to the crew of the GSS Yui (GD-30) when an angel infiltrated the ship and destroyed the ship's MEGAMI, rendering the ship stranded and unable to call for help. Access to the computer room is only available to both the ship's captain and chief technician or technicians from SARA or KES. While not truly sentient, the WIES system is intelligent and intuitive, and usually interacts fairly well with the crew.

The WIES systems actively defend and maintain themselves; they create their own NH-12 and NH-17 weapons to do so. These computer-generated nekos take orders only from the EIES and are usually assigned the rank of Juni. For reference, WIES systems have the rank of Shôshô. WIES is compatible with the PANTHEON system.[/size]

[size=2]TQP-RDD: One of the most sophisticated electronic intelligence tools used by the GSA, it can detect any ship or energy source by observing its mass and/energy by actually making TTD-based quantum linked observations of phenomena. There are three levels to scanning: a wide range passive scan, which monitors for unidentified energy objects and mass fluxes among a wide range of dimensions and phases; the second is an active scan. Active scans are used rarely because they can give away the presence (but not location) of a vessel to other ships. The active scan is a high-powered sweep of a particular phase and dimension. Because of the massive scanning area, the sensors of a ship are not a single solution for quickly finding enemy targets, although they can keep track of them with ease once discovered. Fire Control: The WIES does not use an independent Fire Control System per se, but operates a sub-system of itself dedicated to fire control operations. WIES compensates for all movement of the ship and of target ships, and can track upwards of a trillion targets ranging from pebble-sized shrapnel to planets. EIES-FCS is a mainly offensive system, and ignores all but the largest incoming missiles, leaving the powerful shields (below) to dispose of the threat. Weapons under WIES's control automatically: target sensitive areas of enemy ships; identify friendly assets; optimize beam power and range; guide missiles and torpedoes, assign (and reassign, if necessary) targets in real-time; and control ECM, and ECCM functions. WIES-FCS usually controls all point weapons systems but the GWB (which the tactical specialist controls). Control of torpedoes is shared between the pilot and WIES. The pilot fires, and WIES takes over tracking the target, creating a "fire and forget" system.

Defensive Systems (external): Various systems protect the Antaeus class craft. Three shield generators protect the ship, one on each wing and one for the hull. This field configuration allows the GWB's to all be fired directly forward or in any other direction simultaneously. The shields rely on space distortion to curve shots away from the ship. Another layer of defense comes in the form of the ships cloaking device. Using the TTD the Antaeus can hold itself in higher dimensions so shots simply pass through it as well as most scans. The final energy based defense distorts the space around the ship, breaking it in certain points to causing incoming shots to be deflected up into higher dimensions. A reflective coating over Impervium armor makes up the outer most defense of the ship. Below that is a layer of a special super dense material that is only a few millimeters thick.

Defensive Systems (internal): After repeated incidents involving GSA ships being boarded by seraph bio-weapons Internal security on the ship has been beefed up using systems normally reserved for high security area’s inside of the QnLS. [size=2]Soul Savior Pod: The latest version of the escape pod, the SSP, instead of saving a few bodies, saves an encrypted copy of the entire crew's souls providing the chance that the entire crew will survive destruction instead of just a select few. Only a MEGAMI or KAMI system (not a WIES or EIES) can retrieve the data. While KFY usually provides enough escape pods for the crews of its ships, QnS has historically put too few aboard.

Universal Constructor: The UC allows the Antaeus to maintain an entire fleet or simply create one. A massive cavity inside of the ship contains trillions upon trillions of nanite assemblers, different from the smaller ones of the HSCS, which can create ships and crew then jettison them out through the assembly bay. If the ship is really large, it can be assembled outside of the ship with various mechanical arms.

Update: As of now I have everyone's ship into the excell spreadsheet I created, and am currently working on how much damage weapons do and how well shields protect, etc etc. Thus as of now I'm estimating starting the thread itself within a few days, at the latest this Friday.

The Phoenix

Size: Large, yet not particularly in comparison to many of the ships in the sector. (106 metres)
Crew: 12, and 50 Service Droids.
Life Support: Upto 32 people.
Cargo Stowage: 1500 Metric Tonnes.
Consumables: 6 Years supply of good food, 250 tonnes of storage converted into food storage capacity
Hyperdrive: X0.5 (similar speed to the falcon; or the fastest ship in the universe as Han Solo would say :P)
Backup Hyperdrive: X4
Ion Engines: Ramming Speeds and Greater, Highly manuverable.
Superstructure: 250 Hull points
Shields: 250 shields
Weapon Suite: 36 + special(*)
Cost: 8.47 million Galactic Credits

Custom Additions:

Weapons:
4 light Turbo Quadlasers: Standard laser weapons diffuse too quickly to damage targets past short range. A Turbolaser fires a tightly focused bolt of energy, using galven coils along the weapons barrel to double, or even triple the range. However, turbolasers require a great deal more power and space than standard laser weapons, including a its own dedicated turbines and capacitors. Quadlasers use the same principle; but have four lasers firing in alternate sets of two. These are also Autofire weapons. These are separated into a pair of turrets, each holding two linked lasers. One fires from the underside of the ship, and the other from the upper.
Spacial Mines: The reverse hold is stocked with a collection of Starship mines, designed to knock out or paralyse capital pursuers. A cylindic shaped box, designed to catch enemy ships at the least prepared contains a selection of high yeald explosives (thermal detonators on a larger scale. like 100 times the size)
'The Last Stand' Superlaser: Built from parts used in the turbo laser, yet on 100 times the scale, this gun is mounted in the rear shuttle bay, and out onto the back of the ship. Fired only as a last resort, it burns off part of the hull along with doing considerable amounts of damage to persuing ships. A note; Can only fire backward.

Backup Shields and Extra Armour: The hull plating around the ship has been increased in thickness, to create an ablative effect to most heat or explosive weapons; such as torpedos that could take advantage of this ships huge engine wake to avoid point defense weapons. The shields are located within the engine room, and provide half replacement shields on the loss of the main generators.

High Class Maneuvering System Upgrades: These upgrades, coupled with the speed of the ship make it very agile and comparable to freighters of half the size; Making it harder to hit in combat.


History of the ship and Crew:
The current owner of the ship, one; Markus Drake. A hardy space pirate and smooth operator, Drake has been looting and pillaging from the local sectors for many years, slowly upgrading his large freighter to deploy military grade mines and lasers. Appearing at a first glace as a route trader with a humble ship, Drake and his crew have been known to steal from everybody, regardless of Stature, position or wealth.

The Ship, owned for many years by drake and his crew, was aptly named the Phoenix, after its high yeld Hyperdrive's effect on the space around it as it jumps to hyperspeed. Over 100 metres long, barely, it makes up for its size by maneuverability and speed.

N.B: the history is shorter. far toooo short really. But Bakan was rushing me :P

My pick is the IMPERIAL DREADNAUGHT, btw.

Details about weaponry:
The Dreadnaught is 600 meters long. It carries 10 laser cannons, five facing starboard and five facing port. Twenty quad laser cannons are distributed along the ship's forward and side arcs, with six facing front, and seven on each side. The ship's front and rear are guarded by five turbolaser batteries per facing.

Misc details:
Squadron of twelve TIE Fighters. 600 metres in lenght.

The Dreadnaughts used by the [OT military factions - not that important, the following bit is] have been massively upgraded, with new power and weapons systems. Korribun Ship Technologies has taken advantage of all the recent advances in power system, computer, shield , and weapons technologies to upgrade the Dreadnaught.

My version still has around 16,000 people, eh. And Stormtroopers.

Shields and shizzle. Medium to heavy, eh.
And like armour? Eh! Heavy, eh. Coolness, like?

The Manta-class was developed as a counter to Antless and Spideron ‘swarm’ tactics. Its weaponry is designed to deliver maximum damage on a maximum number of targets. It is able to accurately target both fighters and capital ships, and truly is the epitome of the multiple role vessel. The Manta is a relatively new vessel, and as such has state of the art equipment.

Name: Shadow Wind
Ship-Class: BattleShip

Apperance: The "Shadow Wind" starts narrow at the front and by the middle of the ship it has reached it's 1km wing span. This ship looks vaguely like a Mon Calamiar crusier Type 2. It has been repainted to a black color with the lights from view ports giving it a starfield look.

Weapons:
1 Heavy Spinal mount Particle Beam
10 Heavy Neutron Turrets
360 Light Anti-fighter/misslie Fusion turrets
30 Forward facing Polaron Misslie racks (Ammo: 15 each rack)
4 Plasma web launchers (when it hit's a ship, it will remain on it and steadly do damage to all sides)
15 Envlepoing Plasma Cannons (Equally distributes damage to all sides of shield. Effect cancled on armour [still does damage, just not on all sides])
4 Heavy Ion Beams (tied in with engines)

3 Class 10 shield generators. (only one is active at a time)

1 Phased Scanner (Supierior to normal scanners)

Drives:

Special: Intre-Phase Drives (Instant teleportation of craft over small disance's. Must recharge after every use.)

History: This ship was found floating around a barren moon, by a scout ship from "Terra Alliance". Ever in need of weaponry in the fight against a Evil alien race, the Terra Alliance quickly sent boarding pods with Enginers, Scientest and Troopers, to take control of the ship. When they found the ship to be deserted they deicied to claim it as their own. Now the most one of the most powerfull craft in Terra Alliance's Fleet, the Shadow Wind is a force to be respected.

Ship History:
Originally Designed as a colonial ship, the Kinarii was then re-designed for combat purposes during the Endless Wars of 5078 - 8491 (Daelurian Time: everyone one year Earth wise = 1/4 of one year Daelurian). Being one of the fastest, well packed, medium carrier available durin the war, it's weapons and shielding are considered out dated now a days, but it is seen in battles every now and then, still ruling over all carrier ships as being the best.

The Nova IV left the Greshta Shipyards over six years ago, has no organic crew, all the actual movable androids/robots are the conciousness of the dead, aka. the concioucness is taken moments before death, and inserted into the mainframe of whatever was specified by the dying being. Nova IV has fought many battles, scraps and has aided in any situation when they were called upon, having no organic crew also makes their battles more efficient, the cybernetics process the orders to the millisecond, and have advanced simulation programs to let the sentient ones re-live life in a holographic projection in their conciousness.

Appearance: Small and sleek, The Helsceaða used to be a skirmish backup ship, but has been modified for all-out war. It is a dark shade of red, with occassional dark green patches. On the bottom of it are some retracted clutching limbs, for grasping an enemy ship that comes too close.

Long Distance Drive: Neither hyperdrive nor warp drive, the Beaduscip are fitted with an improbability drive. Instant transportation to anywhere in the galaxy - in theory.
Short Distance Drive: 3 Segl Ion Engines, and 6 Asegl Ion Engines for backup
Shields: Bordweall 3-Layered Shield System, very effective at stopping missiles and particles. Not too hot against lasers and energy weapons. There is also the Wighaga Energy Backup, an anti-energy weapon system, but it is far less powerful. Because of the emitters, only one type of shield can be up at any one time.
Scanners: A variety of Handgehealdengeondsceawere are distributed around the ship. These scanners are very powerful at short range, however over longer distances they provide very vague responses.
Computer System: Run on the Hwiluminganggemyndhord System, this is an immensely powerful system that can infect other systems on other ships with wyrmen ond unhælun (worms and viruses). However, the system is extremely power-intensive, and a dip in power could cripple the system.
Power Source: 2 Bæl Power Cores, with 3 Small Fusion reactors for backup. The computer system needs both Bæl Cores running to stay active.
Weapons: 2 Stæfliðere Energy Rays (large and powerful, but obsolete - much more energy-efficient weapons are avaliable on the market)
10 Æsc Missile Launchers (these long missiles are packet with electrical energy and heat)
20 Forheawan Missile Launchers (these missiles are fragmentory and very good at getting through large shields and damaging fighters)
20 Onscyte Missile Launchers (these small highly accurate missiles are simple, exploding powerfully on contact. They have a very high rate of fire)
4 Gestandan Lasers (these are simple lasers)
5 Beswingan Electric Whips (when an enemy ship gets within range of these things (500m), they lash out, pulsing electricity into the target)
1 Feþa Astroblade (this strange sounding implement is actually a large blade that swipes and bisects any ship caught in the limbs).

Can also construct a temporary spaceport for major external ship repair/modifications, provided it has enough material to create it. Can mine material if near asteroid/nebulae/planetoid.

Repair systems:
Nano-tunnels: to facilitate transfer of material to repair the hull internally.
Repair drones: If the NanoTech reactor goes off-line, these simplistic drones can facilitate external and internal repairs.

Defensive system: (Not shielding or armor)

12 Point Defense Particle Beams: Designed to shoot down incoming projectile weapons or cut into the hull of a ship near enough to the ship. The 'last line of defense'.
Teleportation based defense: Designed to teleport incoming weapon fire away from the ship, can be used to interfer with beams, missile path's and plasma/laser weaponry.
Antimatter mines: Handy devices which are deployed in space, float around until a ship passes a preset distance from the mine itself, it then follows and then explodes.
Stationary turrets: Fitted with a one-time only engine, these turrets deploy themselves, remaining in the same place until they are destroyed. They have four turreted Ion cannons and a simple energy shield. The Ion cannons cover 360 degrees around the turret.

Offensive systems:

8 Torpedo Launchers: Out-fitted with a fast cyclic reloader, these large launchers fire a varity of missiles at the target. Diamond ports cover the tubes when not in use.
4 dual-turreted heavy ion cannons: These beasts are capable of firing for 10 seconds, with a recharge rate of 10 seconds (Has to stop firing after 20 shots for a 1 minute heat vent). Heavy damage, has small fusion generators for sustained firing (These need to be started before use (2 minute start-up sequence).
20 Rail drivers: These dual turreted drivers fire depleted uranium shells at high speeds, heavy kinetic damage and hard to target for PD systems.
2 ten rack of 'Popper' missiles: These lovely missiles are out-fitted with high explosive warheads and a super-accelerator drive. They are called 'Poppers' for the simple reason that as they are fired, they make a wonderful popping sound and make a small flash of light. Then make a boom sound and another flash of light when they slam into the target about 20 seconds later. These are particularly hard to target as they are going so damn fast.
2 EMP generators: These generators are mounted on the top and bottom of the ship, with a range of 10,000 miles. Once charged, they can disable a ship for a time. (Charging time is around 4 minutes)
2 Gravitonic emitters: Mounted near the EMP generators, these devices generate a shockwave which accelerates all ships within a 7500 mile radius away at a 1000 Km/s rate. (charge time is around 10 minutes)

Polytechumantium enhanced plasma cannon: The weapon of mass destruction onboard the Angel, this baby fires a blast of plasma, which can be configured for massive destruction. But since no-one really understands all of the functions, its hard to describe. (Charge time, (Always half charged) of around half an hour).

Shuttles:

20 'Silverwings' Multi-purpose shuttle: These shuttles are armed with 2 'Popper' launchers, each with 5 missiles each and 2 dual particle beam cannons. The shuttles are also fitted with a mining array, storage component and a nanotech containment vessal. So the shuttle can, when filled, in theory, construct more shuttles or even a shipyard to rebuild the original ship. This is, however, incredibly experiment and only a possiblity.

Misc. systems

Nano-Super computer: Millions of super computers at a nano scale.
Ai The Ai, has everything on its command.
Internal mind/machine interface: Connected to the captain, this device allows him to check status and give commands at the speed of a thought, if he wishes so.

First of all,

My most sincere apologizes about the delay in starting. Last week was.... hell for me with finals and some stuff happening, and I just needed to "unplug" so to speak for the weekend, as in not really talking to people, just playing Knights of the Old Republic (awsome game, get it).

Anyways, currently as I am typing this I am at work. However when I get out of here, one of the things I'm going to do today is finish up the spreadsheets and get things set up.

Now, as for some spoilers/hints. Remeber the link that you have for your ship stats as of now, BOOKMARK IT!! After each combat post, only the enemy stats will be posted on the post, your status will be updated on the webpage. This will just make it a lot easier on me.

Second of all, for those that have played Halo, Starcraft and watch Stargate SG-1, along with watching a certain Star Trek: The Next Generation episode, Star Trek Deep Space 9, read the DS9 book "Avatar", well, you can start making a nice picture of the enemies you are going to face.

Io Cor, only 1 ship is allowed at this time.

*flapjack isn't afraid of the terrans, untill they start pulling out yamato cannons, flapjack isn't afraid of the zerg at all (they suck in the air), flapjack is scared of the protoss carriers with upgrades*

then, halo, no idea what spacecraft those guys use, stargate, are we gonna fight those old flying pyramids ?? because those aren't exactly formidable opponents, those fighters might make some trouble but that's it

TNG and DS9 opponents, perfect, my intrepid is after TNG and somewhere inside DS9 it comes into use, it should be well suited for combat against enemies of that age (if you're a nice boy that is)

Oh bakan the above named weapon is like a Super Weapon class. Think Death Star super laser only less laser and not a planet buster class. Takes a while to charge.

bah! lies. ill use my SYSTEM BOMBARDMENT weapon on a ship and watch as a huge hole is gouged through it. be glad i didnt pick the ship with the legacy cannon Superheavy Transposition Flux Cannon units are mounted at angle on the sides of the battleship. These massive weapon units transpose the space between two points, causing the space-time continuum of an area to collapse on itself. This weapon is usually not a first choice as it leaves damage to space which can take weeks or even months for the beam area to "heal." The TFC cannot be fired at the same time as the GWB or the DFCs, since they use the same systems. Ships using space-time anchors or dimensional screens are particularly affected by the TFC and are almost guaranteed to be dragged out of existence in about a minute by their anchors, even when not directly in the path of the beam (50,000 miles). Deactivating the T/SA or DS will halt the ship's approach to the rift. A TFC can also be used to generate a 20-mile-wide black hole anywhere within its normal firing range. The legacy units have built in engines and systems, and can be ejected. Each legacy cannon has its own dedicated quantum generator.

fear it... and its Alternate Function: Directed Fold Cannon (2): This powerful weapon distorts space in much the same way as a hyperspace fold generator does. However, the fold cannon instead of warping the target to another location, it warps the target into a star, a black hole, or perhaps each molecule of the target will warp to a different locale. The cannon has a wide variety of alternative uses, such as capturing and moving large quantities of plasma or anti-matter. It is can even be used to transport other vessels and the firing vessel itself safely. The DFC cannot function if the TTD is disabled, except to transport the frigate.
