Nah, c'mon, there's not justice in the world as shown by Liverpool's win.

Re: The Scottish Cup
Gretna had "7 times their population" in supporters or something. for them doing so well. Well done to Gerrard for keeping Liverpool in the FA Cup long enough so Reina could win it on penalties.

3 lucky West Ham goals Vs 3 excellent Liverpool goals?
West Ham played extremely well throughout the game and deserved the 3-3 scoreline.
What a game though. And Gerrard's shot deserved a cup winners medal on its on.

Re: The Scottish Cup
That was the best FA Cup Final in years on BOTH sides of the border.
Cracking entertainment.

Re: The Scottish Cup
Atmosphere in the pub was great. Haven't seen such a good game for ages (well, since last year's CL final). The Hammers played very well indeed.

All Liverpool Pub , absoloutely bouncing here
4 Hammers fans , 200 liverpool fans , only grief was caused by Man U fans taunting the scousers.

It was quite like that here, too. Liverpool fans outnumbered their counterparts 10/1.

Re: The Scottish Cup
Gerrard was awesome today, as was Benayoun.
My man of the match was Sissoko, though. At times his close control when west ham put him under pressure was exquisite and he got stuck in when needed.
To be fair, if West Ham had won it in normal time it would have been a case of Liverpool losing it rather than them winning it. But an entertaining cup final.
Although it's come at a price, the twat scousers are already outside with their shirts on. Funny how they pop out of nowhere, isn't it?

Re: The Scottish Cup
Actually, Hypia was an absolute star for Liverpool, especially in the second half . He was everywhere. He repelled a lot of west ham attacks, the ball always came forwards and just met him. He was quite a rock, I wasn't surprised he took a penalty. He was up front a few times and had a fairly decent shot

Re: The Scottish Cup
The Comedy of Carragher having his worst game ever in a liverpool shirt in a Cup Final was not lost on me.
Despite the other half being a rabid reds fan.

Re: The Scottish Cup
Yes, that own goal definitely knocked his confidence 'slightly'
I loved Reina though. He had an early mistake, the third goal was partly his mistake but tbh not the easiest to save, and then he made 3 decent stops (2 one after the other in the second half I think, and 1 in the last 15 minutes of extra time) and then saved 3/4 penalties.
After the match when they interviewed him, he said "well, yes I had a bad match and have to improve."
How can the man stop so many penalties? he stopped 7/9 or something in Spain, he's renouned for stopping them. He said on the website that he'd prefer to win the game in the 90 minutes but wouldn't be afraid in a penalty shootout, and I can see why. He didn't even need jelly legs

I have to say that a lot of the 'classic' fa cup matches seem to be "liverpool vs..." this season

Re: The Scottish Cup
Brilliant game to watch, best FA Cup final I have seen. Tthough it was slightly unhelpful to my revision. My ticket also fell through which was disappointing

Re: The Scottish Cup
last friday there was a huge article about this match in some newspaper here. that it'd be about the same scenario as in some scottish footballmovie. today i was searching for channels on TV that had it on, but couldn't find any.
ps kura: why didn't you make a thread about this earlier? (since you are about the only guy on this forum actively following gretna's league etc).

very very true, knocking out Birmingham 7 - 0, Man Utd AND Chelski, Liverpool deserved to win the FA cup, no question!!
Well done West Ham tho, most enjoyable game of the season Teddy is a legend!

Ive written a few articles on Gretna, but the main reason for me following their league exploits is that im a Partick Thistle fan, and a betting man, and the winning bet almost every saturday is Gretna.

Re: The Scottish Cup
was a great game
although I would like liverpool to win a cup just once where they dont put me under so much stress
Gerrards second goal was just amazing, lets hope he can pull some of those out in the WC
credit to west ham, they did play well and gave it all they got to try and win

Re: The Scottish Cup
There was no way that liverpool, in a final and having gone 2-0 down in 25 minutes, were going to lose. You knew they'd do it the hard way, and at 89/90 minutes were left doing little more than praying that you'd not made a mistake... but it's always going to happen
amazing the amount of people that had cramp, tbh. I saw at least Cisse, Sissoko, Carragher and Gerrard have cramp and I'm sure 2-3 more (Liverpool seemed to have it more than West Ham, but West Ham did have Harwood hobbling around )
Rick Parry said today something like "here's an idea, why not allow a 4th substitute when you get into extra time?"
Although he only had Traore left, so that's not too great :/ I don't know who'd have wanted to go off either.

Re: The Scottish Cup

I read that article where rick parry said that as well, could be an idea but yea he didnt really have anyone left
Hopefully they can "just win" the final(s) next season

Re: The Scottish Cup
I honstly dont think they have ever done it the easy way!
Remember 2001 - coming from behind against the Gunners, then beating Alaves 5-4 in the UEFA cup final??
These last 2 years have been ridiculous though - i cant sit through another one

i'd apreciate some more background info on this league tbh. the whole phenomenon of 'scottish football' intrigues me, somehow. in fact, i might even come over some time to see a match, if i can combine it with other plans i made.
