delayed fleets

Ive found it annoying when my fleet is returning and Im being attacked by ships that land the same tick as I get back, why not have a delay return command you could send fleets so that they arrive back a tick later?

This would be useful to players that have too many roids, if they attack and get loads, and someone attacks them for those roids, then they can at least save their fleet .

Just a thought!

Re: delayed fleets

Being able to 'delay' fleets would also have other consequences... like making deliberate fleet catching hard...

Re: delayed fleets

Like Mit said. Often, when you're trying to, say, bring down a big player, the only way to do it is to do a fleetcatch where you catch one of his attack fleets and cripple it...

Re: delayed fleets

I find that it was more fun in say round 2 and early half of round 3 when resource, movemenrt and combat ticks were separate and it was possible to hover fleets to escape combat.

Fleetcatcching to kill off people ruin their experience.

Re: delayed fleets

Attacking is, and surely should be, risky. You want to get a few roids then take some chances. Fleetcatching is part of the game. Particularily in alliance scale combat when you're trying to take down bigger players in enemy alliances.

Re: delayed fleets

fleet catching is only worth doing on the biggest planets, and odds are they're playing hardball anyway
