Someone please explain to me the need to recall fleets?

Theres a simple reason which anyone whos been DCing when a rollback happens will know.
Basically the backups are done at xx:30, this means any defence sent after xx:30 isnt included in the rollback so an attack you had covered can suddenly become uncovered without you realising.
This can result in people having major losses through no fauly of their own which isnt really fair on anyway. Its simply much better to recall all ships that have an eta higher than eta 4

That would require some common bloody sense!
Also when the rollback happens, people usually have 4-5hours until the ticks actually start, so if an alliance cant get the members being attacked to tell them whats happening, they dont deserve to keep their roids at the expense of me losing mine (

Thats fine if the people are all online after the rollback happens, but with last nights for example we are rolling back a tick or two and for everything to be fine you would require the people whom were around at 2am to be around at 2pm to ensure its fine.
It actually also saves attackers fleets, if your eta 5 then the galaxy has many hours to get ships sent. Now while your attack may have been due to land when you were around, it may very well be landing at a time where you cant check so you end up losing all your ships

If you think about it it sort of makes sense though, if you were flying through space off to attack some random planet and then time stopped for a few hours you'd probably head back home pretty quickly as well.

you should go out of your way to make sure my piggies **** off and die so i regularly cap 700-800 per day rather than 400-500, and therefore it'd be better for us all !

The main thing that annoys me is the lack of common sense applied. Maybe its just me expecting more, who knows, all in all what a waste of time.
Not gonna bother play the rest of the round, what with losing extra roids because of high userid's, and getting fleets recalled for no good reason what so ever its just pathetic.
