Scan Farms
It must be easy to identify scan farms so I think it would be a good idea to make it illegal.

It's not illegal to be a scan planet, but it is illegal for someone to run a multi scan planet.

It is illegal if it's a mulit-account. I scan a lot for my alliance but I'm not a scanfarm. If you don't have scanners, it is very hard to organize masses.

I know but the question is should they be illegal? Large planets attack my galaxy but most scans that i block are from small planets.

Of course scan planets shouldnt be illegal.
Its quite common for alliances to have members without time enough to spend on the game etc to run as scan planet instead...

Well, the fact that it's common is no argument to say it should be legal. Multi-escortplanets are also quite common...
The problem is that it's pretty hard to forbid people to scan for others. Especially if one guy is organizing an attack and wants others to join in.
Anyway: all will be fixed in round 10. So this will only continue for a short wile now.

If you block scans, they most likely dont come from scan planets :eek:

I invested in Wave Reflectors which was a bad move, and earlier, I was defending someone in my galaxy being attacked by a planet with a score over 8 million, but i blocked 23 military scans from a planet with a score of under 2 million. Its pretty much the same everytime I send out defence - its very rare to actually get scanned by the attacking planets.

It's the ratio that matters. Number of amps doesn't say much. I bet there's a top 100 planet that occasionally does it's own scans and has much more amps. My ratio is 7, but i bet there are people with ratio's over 20.

I am a scan planet believe it or not , my fleet has done nothing this round but defend. I have like 8k gryphons ffs heh.

It won't be such a big deal next round. Scans won't be exactly as they are now, and you can't just scan anyone you want.

scanners are part of a strategy of an alliance of battlegroup. Not everyone, and not always, you can have a scanner, and sometimes you just canīt login on IRC and you need a newsie. There are some things at PA that are useless, like I NEVER ever built 1 single PDS, since round 2. As Cathaar this round I didnīt and will not build 1 single Widowmaker, for example, but thats my personal strategy. Other useless thing for me is the Wave Reflector. If someone is willing to hit me, he just will. As Iīm not one of that targets that you missed ur alliance and bgroup target and will browse the universe to random roid someone.
