Re: Structure Killers

brim, i guess structures get killed randomly: i killed 8 structures in my last attack, and there was only 1 factory in those 8 scturctures.

I agree that having better armor efficiency on structure killers than pods is a bad idea. Galleon's having highest damage efficiency of all its type doesn't help.

They are just pointless destruction as they are mostly used, to waste a target usually smaller than you more than they already are by roiding and fleet destruction.
I disagree, it's not just pointless. As an alliance, targeting a specific other alliance, it gives an advantage. All things equal, the alliance with structure killers is more likely to win. So they're useful in both directions, a bit like all other ships.

And noone has commented on the other problem i brought up about factories dying far too easily compared to other buildings.
I've seen quite a few battlereports, and think you are mistaken.

I saw an attack yesterday were 8 structures were killed on a planet with 90 structures of which 60 wave amplifiers. None of the wave amplifiers was destroyed. Chances of that happening are quite slim. There is a random factor, but it is implimented weird.

Consider that the targeting is not 'random', but distributed by number of structures present.

Edit: The manual is obviously wrong here.

Re: Structure Killers

Currently I am attacking a planet larger than myself and using structure killers as a deterent to move away some of his fleet surely this shouldn't be eliminated, perhaps structure killers should only be sent to a planet 80% your balue instead of 40%, this may solve the problem.

Re: Structure Killers

Structure killers are here to stay, their damage might change or max number of strcutures destroyed might decrease but they arn't going anywhere
