I was having an idea.
Maybe someone already voiced such and there has been a discussion about it, but not that i remember.
What if, during a regular round, there would be an event that would distribute special rewards (special roids maybe ? different ship types thta become available for he who has that roid ? something original at least)
make a galaxy, say, in cluster 100. Give them roids, ships, and all that good stuff that any normal big planet would have. randomly put in a rewards for the even into 1 of those planets, and dont let it be known what planet it is.
Make this planet hittable for a stretch of, maybe, few days. Resupply their defences and roids every so often to preset limits. (maybe even PA team can play those if they really wanna)
i think it would bring in a breath of fresh air into the game (its not a discussion about having BOT planets, this even will be open just few (maybe even only once) times per round. Put some story behind it, evil people from other galaxy called "Admin Power" (i am bad with names) beginning to consistantly raid planets in our sector. (OO... send some incoming to allies based on current strenght of an ally. Say eXi would get rapored via PATeam would make me giggle
) and then allies will retaliate. Maybe, if size of targets is considerable, there will be a need for cooperation between big allied (aka "in the face of common danger, etc...)
It will, at least, give something to break routine of endless raids and defcalls.
Maybe give one player planet (non-allied? paid ?) some ultimate power during regular round. that planet will be drawn randomly. (roll the dice or something)
Make this known to the universe some ticks prior to it, so that planet will only have very few ticks to prepare. (given, flawed idea, the guy will get rap0red, i know. But is it worth thinking about its viability and fun factor ?)
I would like some input from both, the comunity and devs.
Coz the way this game is going, jolt might have to sell it to EA soon enough.
[outoftopic] (btw. WHEN did EA buy Mythic ? like omg, they just want to own entire gaming world ! And they are doing helluva job) [/outoftopic]
