Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn
Ok.
I have my lovely emulator for playing DOS games.
I have no idea where my C&C:TD disks are.
Can someone point me in the direction (either in this thread or via PM) of somewhere I can obtain the original C&C for minimal expense (legally or illegally)

Re: Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn
Didn't all the C&C games run on Windows?

Re: Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn
Nope, the original was DOS based until Westwood released a version called C&C Gold which had a Win95 executable similar to Red Alert.
Now there is actually a patch from Westwood that will allow original to run on XP under 95CM, but I need disks

Re: Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn
You could just wait and get the bundle that EA is releasing for $39.99 US, which includes every official game and expansion to date, with the exception of Sole Survivor. And all XP compatible.

Re: Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn
the Red Alert 2 community is still alive and active. I played that for hours in uni and theres still people online who play it.
I learnt all the crazy multiplayer tactics like build orders to maximise efficiency and crap.
god it was sad but fun at the same time!

Re: Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn
Everyone should also just hope this massive pack is released in the EU and isn't just a US boxset, like the Janes Naval Warfare pack was.
But thanks to Cooling I've found what I was looking for.
MrL, if the torrent decides to take an unreasonable amount of time I might pop round one night this week with some blank CD's for you to "put the goodness on to."

Re: Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn
I sadly enough have no need for said boxset, I do believe I am the owner of all C&C games, bar Red Aledrt 2 which was awful and posed no strategic challenge at all.
