In recent times FAnG has been avoiding to play the summer rounds.
Seeing a lot of last rounds members and leaders are leaving for other alliances im putting up a recruitment thread for next round.
This summer im looking to set up a tag for FAnG wich will not be competing for tag win.
What form it will be in will depend on ship stats and how many people we can rally up.
Old members, and potential new members can contact me on IRC, under the nick B-Butch3r or through forum PM.
Recruitment is open for all, no vouches or past experince required.

I thought i set the bar trying to point out that it would be a "Summer FAnG" and not necesarry the FAnG of old everyone keeps bringing up?

Considering all the crap you have given Vikigns and other alliances I expect Fang to fight for top spot no matter what. If I dont see you doing it there are plenty of forums post we can all refer to and you will have to take all the abuse from the rest of the community for being a hypocrite.

Fang will not be playing summer round or any other round in the near future. The usage of the tag is of mob or irvine's call.

There are other variants you could go with as a name for a community tag, maybe some like a vikings > tgv name, if the "founders" dont want a community tag.
As the topic states the intention was not for a competing tag, but more of a hang around place.

Yeah I got that but you could have at least talked to Irv or Mob before trying to set something up. As far as i know this was not even discussed with any of the core officers. There is a big chance irv or mob would have said yes, now mob had to react on random people setting up tag without anyone knowing.

Talked about what? Im sure a lot of people would like to have a community tag to play with if they had no other allie to be with.
Mob says he want people to hang around in the old public channel, wich to me looks like he wants to keep the community alive, same thing as I want.
Who is the core officers I shouldve talked to? And who was else to tell everyone else, and the members that FAnG wernt playing if not Mob? I did not force him to react to anything

Butcher all Im saying is that asking the persons that created the tag before using it is the way to do it. Not just as a random person setting up a tag because you were in it a few rounds.

Im not looking to set up a tag just to set up a tag, then i would rather think that all the negative relations to FAnG/TheFallen after r49 would not be helping it in any sort of way.
I think its quite obvious that id rather not see the FAnG community disapear into nothing.
Have fun, enjoy the game as much as it can be enjoyed, and keep the banter going.
I was in FAnG during all its prime from r45 to r49, both as a member and as a HC, im not sure what other reason i could give for keeping the community alive if no-one else is around to do it.
