Watching the news this morning they showed an advert clip for the program.

I can't quite believe that it's not a spoof 'cause what they say/do is so funny.

"5 couples compete for the chance to adopt a pregnant 16 year old girls baby."

This is one reality TV show that i am actually half interested in watching.

Just morbid fascination mind you.

I think winning children on game shows is well beyond the pale myself.

This show is coming under a lot of criticism in the US and I really hope it's cancelled. I'm not terribly sanguine that it would be replaced by anything better, however, but as I don't watch TV I guess I shouldn't care.

The orginal ads for the show suggested that couples would be 'competing' for the child. Perhaps the show is simply a documentary that the ads portrayed as some sort of game show; but then we're just substituting tasteless advertising for tasteless programming. They have a reality show about funeral homes in america,... :-/ And the worst reality show that i heard of was "Who wants to marry a midget" it wasnt that name, but thats what they were doing? The catch phrase was "will the midget choose a girl midget or a real woman" really
