Re: The EU doing something good for the UK.
I think it was mentioned yesterday, or at some point...I read it at work (its a choice of the Mail or the Sun - though I often ended up reading both) and I'm sure I read it somewhere.
But then, we get the Guardian at home, so it might have been here. I shall look out for it in the future.

At the LSE every second society is basically 'The Capitalist Club'.
They all have speakers from venture capitalist / merchant bank companies every week on how to dominate the poor in the 21st Century.

Re: The EU doing something good for the UK.
In my college they banned coca cola because of their manufacturing policies.
Although we can still drink pepsi who have a sparkling clean record with no questions over their behaviour in third world countries whatsoever!

Short of the EU outlawing France, it will never do anything good for the UK (or for most of Europe either)

Re: The EU doing something good for the UK.
Most of the Human Rights stuff is actuaklly dealt wih by bodies outside the EU. For example, the European Court of Human Rights is not an EU institution.

Re: The EU doing something good for the UK.
the price difference will only be justified if they can show a difference in costs in the respective states to justify it. Otherwise guilty of article 82 market compartmentalisation.
