As the recent competitions show there are quite some people online that like to get creative for pa. Now what I'd propose is that you set up a graphics column, or even several (like: Photo, Ships, Funny, Funky, Photoshop, whatever.)

This column should be lead by one or two competent gfx guys. (I'd offer to help)
And sometime there should be competitions. But all people s woprk should be shown. Let the people in the columns commentary decide. And then put it up for vote on PD.

There could also be banner competition and other marketing stuff?
Maybe someone could setup an online shop wih and someone else produces the pa shirts to sell there. A third guy hosts the server and forth does the Gfx.

Doesnt this all sound much more logical than the current workings of gfx competition. However chef/portal team is doing a great job. I really like the new portal. It's almost a good read.

So if you need help in setting up anything of the above or have any ideas concerning how to improve it, please point it out. Keep up the good work guys, we're moving in the right direction i think.

Thanks for your post. I like your ideas, certainly has merit. When I see Chef around later I will direct him to his thread so he can have a good read.

Ok, ive read through the idea above and i really like the concept of the graphic columns, it would also be very easy to implement.

Ive got plans for other competitions like the ones you have mentioned. Basically i have been given a "budget" of credits i can use for portal competitions so ive got to be quite selective about what they are used on however as i see which things work and which things dont i will adapt.

Merchandising is currently being looked into by the PATeam and Jolt so it is entirely a possibility that in the future a "PA Shop" will return. Await that with excitement
