Ok - Me and probably one other are starting an alliance from scratch and need some members.

Well, you're probable wondering, why join an unastablished alliance? Well the answer is that both of us are very experianced players, each with 8 rounds experience and also plenty more on other games and we are getting bored of bouncing around alliances until we found a good one, so we have decided to make our own. the Orb has been created and needs some members.

Now, what we expect of you. As round 10.5 is drawing to a close, not much will really happen this round. We will probably create the alliance and allow any recruits to meet with others and jus get information about each other. Orb will feature far more heavily in round 11 onwards. We ask you please to place a few details about youself below like these:

If you are interested - go onto the game and join the Orb alliance. Nothing much will be happening this round. Like I said - just socialising really. There will be some mIRC channels up very soon - I will post them here.

The main reason we wanted to start an alliance really was the fact that over many rounds we have been bashed up too many times because the lack of defence - We both always give it but never received it in return. As a part of Orn you will be expected to be active daily, participate in attacks and give defence and help strength Orb so we can build up a top ten challenging alliance. As it says in the title 'All welcome', whether you have played since round 1 or you are a complete noob, you will be welcome in Orb.

Also up for grabs are higher ranked positions in the alliance. The more eagerness and activity you show, the more likely you are to get a higher rank in the alliance.

1) Co-ords are banned on these forums, so please refrain from posting them in future

2) Read the rforum guidelines for some tips on putting together a better recruitment post. Once again I'll say that your alliance is a product your trying to sell to people in a tough marketplace, you really have to go all out to sell your alliance because if you dont impress them people wont join

3) Having galaxies made up of people from one timezone isnt ideal, you want it so you have cover at all times which means an ideal galaxy is one that has a few people from the states, a few people from europe and a few from Aussies or those from the Far east.

4) IMHO recruiting for this alliance now is a mistake. Theres a lack of details to be announced yet all of which are vital for your plans and also for the plans of many of the people whom are in your recruitment pool. Rather than bother about getting the members at this point you may be better off focusing on getting the command structure, the tools, the irc channels and such like sorted. Then when the details of the round are announced come back and start recruiting, that way you have all the structure in place and when recruiting members you have an idea of the limitations in place

Ok - mIRC channels will be up at about 4:30pm GMT. If you wish to apply for an alliance that is going to rule them all one day, go to #orblets and well give you an interview. This channel also counts as the Orb public channel. Whe you have been accepted, Orb private channels will be available to you.

Orb alliance will be up in game by 6:00pm today (GMT). Any recruits please signup in game and go to #orblets for an interview. As we have said, anyone is welcome to join. We are only starting it in game to get some organisation for round 11 so if you want to join for next round but stay out this round, thats fine, just tell an op when on #orblets.

All is going to plan - mIRC channels are up, ingame alliance is up and running and the weeby will be up very soon. Its all happening for the Orb - the best new alliance in planetarion. We are looking for ANYONE to join us, regardless of exp. all we ask is daily activity and activity on mIRC channels. If you wish to pop in for an interview, jus drop by #orblets and PM an op.
