Re: [football] the big league rnd 5
I think it's done just on goals for, because you can't really do anything to prevent "goals against" in this game.
As much as I hate to say it, I think SYMM should have beaten me in our last match. He predicted the correct half-time score so he should have beaten me 1-0. I'm doing so badly in this league

As Obliterate says, i think it's always been goals for.
(Think i was ahead of pig at one point on goals scored.)

Arguably that's not really the case. If you do it by goal difference, it further balances for the ease of the game - if you merely do it by goals scored, you're encouraging conservative predictions and punishing correct, and "out there", ones.

But that isn't especially fair on those players who have simply been unlucky with their opponents.

I don't think you've got the point of the league system, or that I missed a good few games through not having an internet connection.

Actually, I think Wigan will keep Arsenal pinned down for most of the first half - but we'll run them ragged in the second with a couple of goals near the end to create a 3-0.

Absolutly
Arsenal have scored the most goals in the minutes 76-90, nearly double that of any other club I think. We also like scoring around half-time.

All I want now is the scum to lose, Arsenal to get 4th place and on top of that win the CL.
That would be a dream come true.*
*No seriously, I had a dream they won.

I'm tempted by the 5th and winning the CL, just to spite them. But hey, let's just go for the fatality and take 4th anyway

Yes but still spurs fans will be shit saying how they beat us overall in the league which is better, and oh how the ruling is gay etc etc.
As much as I'd like to go HAHA! to them, I don't want them thinking they have anything good to shout about.

Correct. It's even more fun to snatch 4th on the last day of the season
