AK, MC, UQ
You may continue with your plan, RPing for the prisoners as you go. I will do a short post with whatever you discover.

*The search for you is really hotting up now, with people running around like headless chickens. They are armed with machine guns. Inside a space section. This is a bad thing. You manage to find your way to the hangar deck without being troubled, but discover there that its much bigger than you were expecting. Rather than just a port or two, it's a full fledged deck, with transports and a magnaring-pellerator (attached to the inside of the space ring, it transports people from point to point along its surface). Suddenly, though you are not physically spotted, the guards all turn towards your position. You notice a camera swivelling above you and realise that the person in the control booth at the rear of the hangar must be watching you, and has relayed the information to everyone else. The booth is a few metres off the ground, with only a ladder up to it, and is armoured like a steel egg, so if neccessary it could be a good place to defend.*

Re: ICE9: The Secret War
*AcidK led the way to the prison blocks and opened a door, revealing one of the prisoners, regardless of what that prisoner was doing, he quickly grabbed him, lifted him up and dragged him towards one of the interrogation rooms. AcidK turned to UQ and MC, nodding with a now fixed grin on his face.*
You know what to do...
*AcidK closed and locked the door, lowering the prisoner into a seat and then walked to the corner of the room, crossing his arms and then staring at the prisoner. He turned the outer-speaker on and then turned his reaction I-tech on, waiting about ten seconds before continuing.*
Right then, let me first say thank you for helping us with out enquiries, the information you have given us has been a great help to us. As agreed, your help will grant you a less strict prison where those of what you may call 'snitches' are usually placed. Yes, we know you have given us the greater part of information we need and may be the target of many criminals, but we have what we call the 'Witness Protection Program', whereby you will be protected, legally and physically, by us and our associates.

Adam glances at the camera and his mind races for a moment, he reaches into his bag pulling out an explosive charge, keeping it hidden from the camera he sets it up near the the door, concealing it slightly, if he was going he was going with style, Adam dashes to one of the fastest ships he finds and hastily begins trying to crack the door security code, setting the C-4 to 5:00 or his remote seemed like a good idea... at the time, Rushing the password he fumbles a few times hoping to unlock the door and take off setting the charge off when he gets to a safe distance

Re: ICE9: The Secret War
Just after AK entered his interrogation room, Ur_Quan hurried to the nearby cellblock, had the guards open the door to the other prisoner's cell and call him out.
The prisoner who had been stuck in his cell for what seemed to him like ages, was at first a bit reluctant to get out, but when he heard that he was to be interrogated, he soon stepped outside and let himself be guided to the interrogation room.
The guards kept a firm pace and made sure the prisoner did the same thing as Ur_Quan led them past AK's interrogation room on their way to the other room so that the prisoner would surely notice his colleague inside the other room.
He knew that AK was about to start to speak, so Ur_Quan quickly halted the party and spoke to the guards: "I'll go and see if the room's all setup and ready to use, meanwhile, you three are not to lose sight of him, whatever happens." All three of the guards confirmed the order with a simultaneous 'yes sir!' and the moment Ur_Quan left them, AK could be heard talking over the intercom.
Hiding just behind a corner, Ur_Quan waited several minutes before he judged the time right to get back to the group and pretend to be outraged by this incident. and as he just so happens to walk by, tells MC to go inside AK's room and inform him of the 'blunder' he made while ordering the guards to escort the prisoner to his own interrogation room.
OOC- PK, do you RP for the prisoner's reaction to the scene, or do we have to do that? -OOC

Re: ICE9: The Secret War
After hearing what was said in the interrogation room, the prisoner became furious and started shouting and cursing and suddenly threw one of the guard aside in an attempt to break the window, but just before he could strike, the other two guards jumped on him and with the help of the third finally managed to work him down on the ground, where they restrained him, twisting his arms behind his back and pressing the side of his face to the floor. "No! I'm not going to take all the blame for this! I'm not going to spend the rest of my life in prison while that bastard will be out after 2 years. I'm not going to do that you hear me!"
With some difficulty, Ur_Quan managed to suppress a wry smile and he stepped closer to where the prisoner's head was, bent over a little and softly, but cheerily spoke: "Well, in that case I guess you'd best be cooperating with us and tell us everything you know and we'll do our best to help your situation in court. We're going to the interragation room now, so you'll have a few minutes to think it through." Ur_Quan then addressed the security guards and said: "Alright lads, get him on his feet and escort him to interrogation room 2 and wait there for me to arrive."

where are they most likely to keep their prisoners?
look, Stryker... you know the place best... you know best who of your comrades was there, and what they can do, how they can help... I suggest you lead this operation. We'll do what we can to help you out.

Re: ICE9: The Secret War
*AcidK was in mid-speach when MC came into the door. Turning instantly as if suprised and listened to MC whisper about an 'error' in his ear before looking up at the speaker, looking shocked and then switched it off. When the door was closed again he turned around and smiled, sitting on the spare seat and looked at the prisoner.*
Now then, the charade is over. What you have just sat through was a trick, as you may have guessed, and your... 'buddy' will tell us all we need to know, thinking that you have already gave us information. Now, since you have not given us any information and your so-called friend will give us information, you will be the one holding the wrong side of the short straw.
*AcidK sat back, his grin staying perfectly still, not too big, not too small.*
Now, you will tell us all you know, otherwise you can go to a prison and spend a lifetime in what you may know as hell, your friend being released on parole and the Witness Protection Scheme after a mere 2 years for giving us the information we need. Now is the time to make your choice, either you tell us all we need to know, regardless of your buddy telling all he needs to know, spend two years in prison and then released... Or you spend a life sentance in prison, spending the rest of your years withering away in solitary confinment.

Re: ICE9: The Secret War
AK, UQ, MC
Prisoner (Shadow): Alright, alright I'll talk. I'm not taking the fall for this. I work for Shadow, you know, FIRE3's non-enhanced arm? I don't know much, but we were told that our target, Quiver Jamal had to be captured at all costs. The FIRE3 guys want him for something, I guess something to do with nano-tech, they seemed to think of him more as a clever guy than a good leader or fighter.
Prisoner 1: You don't know what positivity is, yet you're part of an 'I' tech organisation? I'd check your records again if I were you. As for Davion, we were supposed to meet him, but he never showed up. Quiver insisted that we wait for him though, they know each other from way back. Guess that wasn't so clever though. We're not your enemies you know. We simply want to stay out of the way of the rest of the world.
*Kilo contacts you over the comm, to tell you about the watch.*
Killo: It looks like you were right. Originally it was just a normal watch, but someone's messed with it. There's some kind of computer chip inside, customised to a distinct nano tech field. It could have been calibrated to its wearer. I'm not sure exactly what it was for, but it did indeed have a tracker in it too. Fortunately the signal can't get out of this base, but someone could still have tracked it to the surface.
Zappa
"Alright, I have no problems with that. I'm downloading the plans to your computer now. I would suggest that we do not enter from ground level, there are some serious security systems there. The roof or a window would be best."
*The Whitebird speeds to its destination, arriving above Marita city in a few hours. Despite the entire thing being a modern construct, the Italian sense of engineering had given the place an older style, while retaining a clean and shining look. The 25 years of the Benna-Henzer Process had done nothing to destroy the atmosphere of the place, and it seemed much less dark and polluted than most of the other surviving cities. Your fighter-transport closes in on a building with a stylised clockface on it, the symbol of Millenia Corporation*
Adam
*The guards, as they know that you're there, run straight towards you, weapons raising. A shot whizzes past your ear and sheds the control panel you were trying to break through. One moves towards where you put the C4, though you don't see what he does with it. The Strike Team must be nearly to you now, but with the hangar closed, they'd have to hot-land (blast their way it) which would be inconvient for you, seeing as you're in the pressurised hangar. If you could open the outer door though somehow, they could get in...*

*AcidK nodded and smiled.*
I don't like records, thats what the intellegence centre's for...Anyway, if you wanted to stay away from the rest of the world, why make such a fuss about Jamal? At this point he is the focus of something, I want you to tell me what that is. Why Jamal?

Re: ICE9: The Secret War
Ur_Quan let the prisoner tell his story and walked to the large see-through-mirror that was on one side of the room and briefly wondered if AK had succeeded in getting his guy to talk as well. He carefully listened to what the prisoner had to say and when he had finished, Ur_Quan spoke: "If you're part of the 'unenhanced arm', then why are you enhanced? When you were 'asleep' our engineers had a look at your I-techs and they're quite impressive, but then again I already knew that from our encounter in the stadium. Now, I'm pretty sure that FIRE3, or Shadow as you claim to be, will use state of the art enchancements on agents from an unenhanced wing. So either you're lying, or you're a little higher up in the Shadow hierarchy than the average goon, so which will it be?"
Ur_Quan watched the prisoner's facial expression in the mirror and then continued: "Jamal has been taken to Verglace in France. I'm assuming you have a base of operations there, tell me about its defences and the number of guards. Furthermore, does the name Davion Thamas mean anything to you? You know, big guy, angry face and pretty strong too; demolished half a cityblock before we managed to book him. He was on his way to the stadium to meet you and your associates, so where does he fit in?"
Ur_Quan grabbed something from his pocket and produced a photograph of several people. (A copy of the one in post #83 on page 2.) "Do you recognise any of these people? And does the word 'positivity' ring a bell? And this time, don't play dumb with me, I hate it when people do that. We'll compare your statement with the one your friend is giving to my colleague right now and any inconsistancies will reflect poorly on you, I can assure you that much."
Ur_Quan remembered that Davion Thamas had had a rather expensive looking watch and he wondered who had it in his possession, but he figured that it should be examined straight away. If the thing had a tracking device, it would explain how FIRE3 knew where to reclaim Jamal so fast and it would also mean that this entire facility was in grave danger.

Damnit. I've royally screwed up on that interview thing. I had you interviewing a couple of the people that took Quiver, but I've remembered you hadn't captured any of them
For simplicities sake, you've now got 3 prisoners, the guy that just talked, and the two of Quiver's guards that are about to when I edit it in.

I think I speak for all of us when I say:
"we forgive you, and understand that sometimes mistakes are made. Roleplaying is not the only thing in life (tough it is the most important and fun thing on the internet :P) and realise that DMing is more stressfull and hard work than just simply playing a character. We'd like to thank you for giving us this wonderfull oportunity to play a character in a cool and wellbuilt makebelief world, where the DM is always willing to help the players understand and grow into it, and hope you will continue to please us as you have before. even tough this post is placed 99% with the reason of sucking up to you in hopes of getting a nice, juicy, fat and rewarding DM, the essence of it also is the truth, and from the bottom of our neverbeating, cold, black and shrivled hearts."

Hey! That's my prisoner you're talking to? And good of you to say as I had not seen it yet. I will not edit my own post though. It's too big and specific to edit it. I'll just write an additional or new post.
BTW, what about the 3rd prisoner? You know, the 2nd FIRE3 agent we captured. I take it he's keeping his mouth shut?

Re: ICE9: The Secret War
Ur_Quan was a bit surprised when AK entered the room and started interviewing his prisoner. By the nature of the questions, Ur_Quan judged that AK had been listening in on his interview for quite a while, and that meant that his own prisoner probably hadn't talked. For this reason, Ur_Quan decided not to to object, but instead pretended that it was a normal procedure, so that it wouldn't arouse the prisoner's suspicions.
At the same time, Ur_Quan received a message from Kilo that there was some news about the watch and she asked him to come to her office for more details. Ur_Quan interrupted AK's questioning and said to the prisoner: "I'm being called away, but my overzealous colleague here will continue the interview and he'd like to know more about the people on that photograph and about your base of operations in Verglace." He gave AK a nod and then left the room and headed for Kilo's office.
Once in her office, Ur_Quan was briefed about the watch. He thought for a moment and then spoke to Kilo: "If FIRE3 has been monitoring that signal, then this entire base is in danger. The signal may not be able to get out of this base, but if the thing suddenly stopped transmitting right on the spot where there used to be an old Universal Operations base, it will undoubtedly raise their suspicions. Even though they have Jamal, we have captured three of their guys and seeing this project appears to be a delicate matter to them, they might try to set up a rescue operation to reclaim them."
Ur_Quan thought for a moment and then continued: "I think this base has been exposed, but HQ has to decide on whether or not it should be evacuated. However, I do suggest that these prisoners be relocated elsewhere immediately. As for this watch, it's caused us a lot of trouble and I'd like to toss it into the ocean, but perhaps we can make it work for us."
Ur_Quan noticed the puzzled expression on Kilo's face and clarified: "Any possible FIRE3 rescue party will home in on the signal that this watch is emitting. That means that with some organisation, this watch will allow us to set the perfect trap for them. Before I ask you what you think, I believe it'd be a good idea to increase security measures and the amount of guards, just in case we're underestimating FIRE3's speed."

Re: ICE9: The Secret War
Well, the prisoner that I was supposed to talk to was saying that he was part of Shadow, and you wrote that you were asking him why he was part of Shadow... so I had assumed that was the one you were talking to

Re: ICE9: The Secret War
OOC- No the prisoner you were supposed to talk to, decided to keep his mouth shut and the one that was talking to me told me that he was Shadow and then I started to ask some smart questions and PK noticed that he'd screwed up and decided to give us an extra prisoner (the Shadow man ).
So I'm assuming that you talked to the other FIRE3 agent and that he didn't say anything while someone else interviewed the Shadow guy and I'm interviewing the talking guy as he's clearly answering the questions that I asked.
Anyways, I don't really care, this is working too right? -OOC

hangs about and eavsdrops on the others and pipes up when uq is talking about watch and trap
i would suggest waiting for that, we should attemt to take jamal from them first, this will undoubtedly hamper whatever they'r trying to do, then we place the watch, if they go for it we ambush them, this should make someone high up angry

AK, UQ, MC
Kilo: Yeah, this certainly does give us an opertunity. Also, it means that they don't know we have Davion. Maybe that could be helpful to us, I don't know. It seems to me we have three distinct issues; getting back Jamal, setting a trap with this tracker and making sure Haven One is secure. I only wish we had more personel, but us four and BrightSide-3 will have to do. Any preference on what we do?

*Your bullets prove effective, taking out several guards. You figure that the control booth would have a way to open the outer doors, so you head for that. After disposing of the guard quickly, you tap the control that opens the door. You can't see it opening of course, but you hear the grinding of the mechanism working. Now, it's just a matter of staying alive until reinforcements arrive. Unfortunately, several more guards have entered the hangar, along with a couple of people that look decidedly like agents.*

"Yeah, this is the right floor. I'm just not sure where someone might hide... hang on... FIRE3 might not have found the secondary ops booth, that's on the floor below. It's close enough, and even if there's no one there, we could use it for intel purposes. There might be people in our way though..."
*He wanders off down the corridor in a sneaky fashion, heading for the stairs. Suddenly you hear footsteps and two voices talking amiably, coming from the direction Stryker is going.*

I'm certain he heard them too... let's just hope he's carefull enough...
Carefully aiming at the corner, legheight, Duncan scans the area and listens closely to the sound of footsteps and voices, hoping to figure out who they are, what they're planning to do, or what they're talking about, and more importantly, how many there are, is it just 2? or are there more footsteps than voices?
eyeing Stryker, he calculates his probable respons and toughts, then hopes he'll look back, and discuss a strategy (in the typical militairy way, ofc, with handmovements and stuff)

Re: ICE9: The Secret War
Trisk crouches over a dead corpse of a guard and take a couple grenades out, he focuses on the grenades and his speed as he throws a grenade at the group, without pulling out the pin he uses the shotgun, for a higher blast radius and a better chance of hitting the grenade, fires a round at it when it reaches near the group, he quickly throws the empty shotgun to the ground as he begins firing up his Assualt rifle to keep them from approahcing, he ducks back quickly behind it as he reloads and fires once again

Re: ICE9: The Secret War
Ur_Quan bit the side of his thumb as he pondered all the options and finally he said: "The way I see it, we have actually 4 options; we can set the trap, we can secure Haven One, we can recapture Jamal, or... we can split up..." Ur_Quan looked his colleagues in the face and spoke again: "Although my training as an infiltrator along with my cloaking enhancement would allow me to go after Jamal alone without attracting too much attention, and each of you would be well suited for each of the other tasks, I think we should stick together, because that way we are stronger."
He took a deep breath and continued: "According to our directives, the safety of our own people always comes first, which means that defending this base would be priority. However, FIRE3 clearly has big plans with Jamal or they wouldn't have gone through all this trouble to reclaim him. Jamal appears to be their primary concern and therefore it should be ours too. If Jamal is really that important to them, then FIRE3 will do everything in their power to get him back, once we reclaim him and this base should be relatively safe for the time being which means that there will be more time for ICE9 reinforcements to make it to the surface and assist us defending this base." Ur_Quan looked at AK, MC and Kilo in turn and said: "At least that's my opinion. What do you think?"

Re: ICE9: The Secret War
*AcidK returns in enough time to hear Kilo out, after UQ's speach he finally makes his contribution.*
I agree that defence of Haven One is a priority, however Jamal is an issue we must not ignore. Clearly, to my vision, they want him for something and they want him bad enough to fight to the end to get him. If we do nothing and defend Haven One, they could use Jamal's knowledge or experience, whatever it may be, for a cause to make it more and more difficult for us within the near future. In this instance, Jamal would be heavily defended and would take mroe than just an infiltration job to gain him back. therefor, I propose a decoy mission to bring the guard levels down a tad. Jamal is in a stronghold that sits within France. My proposal would be to cause havoc outside whilst Ur Quan, our top infiltrator for this mission, would go in without being detected and retreive Jamal easier. However we do not know how many guards they have or what type of weaponary nor I-Techs these guards may already hold, so we need a full recon first.
*AcidK leaned against a wall and thought carefully before continuing.*
I am sure the BrightSide group can defend Havon One for the time being. If I were to retreive Jamal I would require a recon mission, followed by a decoy... followed by infiltration and retreival. This is three jobs, we are three agents... what's the odds, guys? I say we get this show on the road.

Re: ICE9: The Secret War
i agree we go asap, odds may not be too good but hey, thats half the fun, with my rudimentry cloak ill be able to sneak up on a few guards and neutralize before someone notices, then all hell breaks loose and we draw as much attention to ourselves as possible while uq goes in and gets our guy
looks at kilo
you and your team can start satelite recon while we're en rout to france

Re: ICE9: The Secret War
I can easily snipe from a distance, use explosive rounds to get people's attention, use normal rounds to actually take people out. If they come out with an I-Tech'd marine, then it mean's one less I-Tech for UQ to worry about. Besides, this time we take no prisoners unless neccessary to do so. Breaking the code, yes, but we may have little choice on the matter.

Re: ICE9: The Secret War
Ur_Quan considered the proposal and said: "That's all very well, but those FIRE3 guys do have brains. When the shooting starts, their first concern will be for Jamal and they will increase his protection or try to get him to safety by moving him to a different location and we'll be unable to track him then. I think the diversion must be delayed until I've made my way to Jamal or his immediate vicinity."

Re: ICE9: The Secret War
Agreed, but that would mean it being difficult to get into the facility with a more organised patrol strategy going. We would need to take out some guards to get in anyways, ones that wouldn't be missed much or noticed when shot at.

Wouldn't a flacon flying by be a little obvious to a group that has the same type of ship? No, if were are to infultrate we would have to go there by foot, roof-top to roof-top if neccessary...

i agree with acid, falcon is definitly out of the question, and sniper work is unavoidable but yes you will have to get close to jamal before the bulk of the shooting takes place

"Well, we could take a civilian craft, but I suppose you're right. If we do not want to attract any attention at all, we must simply not be detected. That might be a problem though. I know the falcons are undetectable on any normal radar, but we're dealing with FIRE3 here and it'd be dangerous to presume that they do not know how to detect one of our falcons."

OOC- I've been just here, but i've not been replying to this thread, because I had more or less said what I wanted to say and I thought it'd be DMed soon enough, but then I heard that PK has exams. About that, far enough not to be seen, but close enough to reach the facility itself. No use having to travel four days on foot just so as not to be seen.
*AcidK humms to himself and then looks around the place.*
And if we want to move, we'd better move fast, or we'd arrive a little too late. Kilo, do you have any spare members within this facility to drop us off one or two miles from the facility without being detected?
