The Millenium Wars
Despite its name, this thread takes place in the Middle Ages.
In the Middle Ages of this Earth, there existed 6 strong and powerful nations. These nations had divided up and controlled the Earth for as long as anyone could remember. The nations were Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, the nation of Darkness, and the Dragons. For one hundred years the nations kept peace, but then that changed. The Orcs, Darkness, and Dragons turned on the others and amassed huge armies.
At this point in time a great 1,000 year war broke out between the Humans, Elves, and Dwarves, against the Orcs, Darkness, and Dragons. For a long time the Earth was scorched with fires and battles of epic perportions. Who will be victor? That is up to you...

Re: The Millenium Wars
Hewitt- good to go
acid- good
adam- first part yes....last part is confusing/ impossible with current resources
Zappa- by god i meant the armies i control being the orcs, dead, and dragons. ONLY ME! oh and there shall be no hurtling of lightning bolts and other god-ish happenings. oh and your army is fine.
Hewitt's stronghold- Mountains surround you on two sides, meeting in a corner. The other two sides are a river without a bridge, that goes into the mountains and a forest running from the mountains to the river. The forest is 1,100 feet long (11 wall sections) and there is a gap by the river in the mountains that is 50 feet long (1 wall section)
adam's stronghold- Mountains along one wall that are intersected by two rivers on either side. the last side is completely open and is 1,400 feet long (14 wall sections). The rivers and mountain range are all impenetrable.
Acidk's stronghold- Mountains on all four sides. Each side has a gap in it. One gap is 200 feet (2 wall sections), the adjacent gap is 300 feet (3 wall sections), and the other two gaps are both 400 feet (4 wall sections). The gaps are all more or less in the middle of the ranges.
Zappa's stronghold- Mountains go around 3 sides. The last side is a river with 2 bridges on either end, up and downstream. The mountains have a large gap directly opposite of the river that is 500 feet long (5 wall sections). The bridges can be defended by 300 feet of wall each (3 wall sections each, total of 6).
Don't worry about having your resourcers acctually gathering things, as long as they live, you get resources. Everyday or so I will upgrade your resources, depending on the number of hours. (12 hours gone and 5 lumberjacks equals 100 wood) (that might change if you cant build units ) You can also get varying amounts of resources depending on battle out comes.
*********When fighting, you must charge multiple times. Charge upwards of ten times and the other army should die. I will then calculate how many guys you have left. ***********
Soon to come: Upgrades!!!!!!!

Re: The Millenium Wars
Lakhim- gathered 14060 food, 14060 metal, and 14440 wood. The army outside your base pauses and waits. You havent been attacked yet. Your forces need to be larger because the armies will attack simultaneously. If the orcs attacked you'd most likely die. You also have to put down a number of charges for when they do attack after your done posting everything else.
All: Everything so far is fine. When an army attacks and you defend, you must include a charge number (preferably higher then 10 so that the battle will end.)
Mad cat: You gather 1200 of each resource.
adam: You gather 4000 of each resource.
Hewitt: You gather 6400 food, 3200 metal and wood
Zappa: You gather 7200 of each resource. The upgrades are for all units (melee goes to all melee u have/build)
All: The resources vary greatly depending on how much time there is between your posts and mine and the number of resourcers you have.
*****NEW*****
Every now and then I will make a little quest for your armies. The person to complete the quest gets the prize. Quests involve fighting the other armies in massive climactic battles to end the world, to save a cat in a tree (or something like that)
New stuff to be figured out: Upgrade levels, enemy bases, possible resourcer caps (limits)

Re: The Millenium Wars
Lakhim: For now, only one upgrade level..... the others will increase in cost
Due to some crazy accuracy on the part of the gunners, the orcs never even come within 50 of the infantry. The goblin and orc warriors charge and take down 8 sections of wall (gunners and all) on the two halves they attacked. The other guns take out the orcs and the remaining goblin archers take down the rest of the wall. Since both sides did overwhelming damage to the other, neither acctually win, since their all dead. You are down 6 wall sections and 24 guns and gunners. You gather 10960 food and metal, and 3040 wood.
Mad cat: You gather another 2400 of each resource.
adam: You gather another 2000 of each resource.
Hewitt: You gather another 3200 food, and 1600 metal and wood
Zappa: You gather another 2400 of each resource.
*****NEW*****
Resourcer cap is now 200 guys, no more then 200!
Quest 1: 50,000 mounted zombies are attacking an elven base! You all have 24 hours to do something about it. DONT FORGET CHARGES!
Prize: 150,000 of each resource and 10 catapults with gunners.
Quest 2: 10,000 dragons are laying siege to a peasant farm community! You all have 24 hours to do something about it. DONT FORGET CHARGES!
Prize: 100,000 ranged units and 50,000 mounted warriors (dwarf Berserkers)
You can only do one quest and multiple people can do each quest. Each quest also has two hidden random bonuses. One good or one bad, two good, or two bads (depending on my mood )
Side poll: Who thinks I should make it so you can advance through the ages? Your responses will make the game better or keep it the way it is.

hewitt- gather 148000 wood and metal and 99900 food
lakhim- gather 160000 of each resource
adam- gather 26000 of each resource
zappa- gather 128000 of each resource, (assuming you build, then kill) The new archers and swordsman rush into battle with the dragons. The archers fire relentlessly and the longswordsman go after the dragons on the ground. The archers bring down some 8000 dragons and the swordsmen bring down the whatever they can. Then some dragons that were wheeling about in the sky descend upon your troops. These 1058 dragons are the only survivors and your archers and swordsmen are completely obliterated.
You still have everything thing but the 149 swordsmen you built and the 450 archers. These 599 units are dead. (you need acctual trebuchets for the trebuchet gunners )

[ooc] hell no! if we were to advance trough the ages, then the human players, being mortal beings, would have to die, and recreate a char, then start all over again. dwarves only live for like 500 years too, so same goes for them, and elves, being the only beigns that do not die of old age, but rather choose to leave this world, and sail to the promised land where they continue to live peacefully would be the only ones able to survive troughout the advancements, thus would receive an unfair advantage!
wait a minute, I'm an elf...
tanks and planes? hell yes!!![/ooc]

Re: The Millenium Wars
ooc: Heh. But humans breed like rabbits so there'll always be replacements
So like yeah... bring on the ages!
----------------------------------
*Hewitt's stronghold now looked far different from the pristine land it once was. What was once lush grassy plains was now a patchwork quilt of farmers crops with small clusters of cottages and townhouses dotted all over the landscape. Miners crawled all over the now terraced mountains; masses of lumberjacks poured through the forest gate towards the woods beyond that were no longer visible past the immense construction of the wall. Once completed, the 25ft high monolithic Forest Wall and Mountain Barricade would make this place virtually inpenetrable. Not with 1000 Trebuchet could an army break them.*
Captain: M'lord. *bows* The Army is assembled and ready to march as ordered sir.
Hewitt: Is my horse ready captain?
Captain: Indeed it is m'lord, the finest animal from our stocks.
Hewitt: Very good then, have it brought up to me along with my sword and armour. I can't wait to go forth and smite these unholy undead.
*After spending much time on preparation the army of Sir Hewitt was ready to strike it's first blow against the enemy. 8000 horse with lance and bow did ride forth that day, along with 3000 men on foot. Left behind to defend their home and fortress - 1000 men with bow and 944 with pike.*
