Okay, I still have to work out how i'm doing ships but i have quite a few plot ideas worked out.
As for who's on what ship, I have done the pairing. If your partner decides not to join the final thread, you get your own ship and any late comers become your first mates. The pairs are as follows:
No Dachi/ Bakan
Zappa/ Hewitt
adam/ okiN
Heiro/ ew0k
Decide between yourselves who is the captain. If there is a problem, tell me and i'll decide for you. One rule however. If the captain does not post for 3 days for any reason, you switch positions. (Heiro, i suggest you take captain as this wll be ew0k's (or whatever nick he chose to use on here) first thread.)
The Spanish (Evil Twin, Zorro, and Fluffie) and the Dutch (flapjack) will have their own ships.
IF ANYONE STILL WISHES TO JOIN YOU WILL BE ACCOMONDATED BUT WILL BE A THIRD PERSON ON THE ENGLISH SHIPS OR FLAPJACK'S FIRST MATE. I HAVE ENOUGH SPANISH UNLESS SOMEONE BACKS OUT.

The choice of pairings was determined in a way to spread RPing ability between the ships. If everyone is really annoyed, something can be done. But i ask you to try to get in the pirate personality and deal with it.

if I have to actualy RP a pirate, and Adam is on my ship as Captain, there'd be mutiny, and him walking the board, if he would be first mate, there would be him walking the board... that is, IF I would RP, and he'd RP as he usualy does. This is not that I hate Adam, it's just what happens if I'd stay in character, and respond to his actions

alliances, no, i'll remain neutral untill i stop being neutral and have stabbed either side in the back, bribes can be offered in PM to backstab either side, but right now i'm feeling a distinct pull towards the english side

Depending on how many are interested...one could do a purely pirate type RP, say two different allicances of pirates fighting for rights over a certain area of ocean that merchants go through often. Thats if people would want more of a mostly pirate theme though..

Rhyspar, the thread basics are already planned. I just need to find time in between my other threads and job searching and such to figure out ships and stats. Everyone has already chosen English, Dutch or Spanish and just attacking merchants gets boring.

Anarchate, please don't get me wrong, but it is dutch ship, with a dutch captain and Czar would be the dutch second in command, that means essentially that we can plot our things in a language most other people here don't understand.

Okay, i got a job working full time now. And at some point i'll actually get this and the challenge going. 40 hours a week on your feet the whole time takes it out of you as some here know. If Czar does wish to join feel free to figure yourself a captain of your own ship. Eases things as one Dutch ship was just going to be there as a target i guess, never could figure out what so that's one reason this didn't get started. Anyone else wanting to be dutch be first mate or fight out command structure with the others.
Oh and as for plotting so others can't see it, that is what PMs are for. If it's in a language in thread I can't read then you get a tsunami around your ship
