You're probably wondering why there has been such a long delay with the replies so I'll shed some light on the situation.

Three week ago I entered a period of 'extended procastion' or as it is known by most 'holidays'.

But fear not, I feel a break from my days of laziness coming soon... tommorrow in fact.

So to prevent you all from contacting the CIA, MI6 or whoever so you can hunt me down and cause me serious pain, I will PROMISE to have things moving again within 24 hours of this post.

Really, I do.

You find the first bike lying in the middle of the road with the remains of its previous owner lying in the gutter not far away... at least most of him anyway. Many of the mans stuff is still scattered across the roadway and hastily you proceed to grab anything of value. During your search you can clearly make out the blood trail leading from the disfigured body to the spot on the road where it was crushed under your wheels. Apparently despite the horrific injuries he was able to crawl this far before finally perishing – a tough man. A worthy trophy.

The sounds of many onlookers becoming violently sick erupt in your ears as you set about the grizzly task of collecting the dead bikers skull.

After tying up the first bike to your small car you move on, stopping quickly to pick up the second bike – as you probably guessed the fire destroyed virtually everything else of value – and head back into town to cash in your salvage.

SALVAGE

Roadbike (x2)
- 70kg Storage
- 3 Engine Slots
Holds 20 Litres of fuel
1 – Rear wheel buckled, rear suspension damaged. ($2775)
2 – Badly burned ($1850)

13 litres of Gasoline ($1560)

Small first aid kit ($500)

Crossbow ($500)
Lead piping ($5)
Metal chain ($25)
3 packs of nail bombs ($600)
Ration pack ($100)
Flick knife – Rusted ($15)
2 packs of crossbow bolts - Comes in packs of 12 – ($10)

After selling your gear it you will probably have just enough time to reach the contest on time. However, you COULD stay a bit longer to buy more gear and even have it installed at the local garage, but you’ll most likely be late... unless you floor it all the way.

Plus it is likely there will be a market for gear at the destructofest... but that is not a certainity

Krak

You release your prisoner and focus your attention on the runaway vehicle. By driving up to the drivers side door and pulling a pretty nifty manoeuvre you are able to send yourself flying into the gaping opening.

Your bike narrowly misses crashing into the rear end of the VX and goes flying off the road to land harmlessly in a nearby hay roll.

Unfortunately your wild lunge for something to grab onto ends up with your grabbing the top of the steering wheel. This doesn’t mean you fall out of the vehicle - the laws of momentum make sure of that – rather you land so that your head ends up under the dashboard... on the passenger side. But it what does happen is the steering wheel easily gives to you’re wild tug and this sends the VX into a tight left turn.

Before you know what the hell is happening your ride gets a hell of a lot bumpier.

It starts with a squealing of tyres before the ground literally gives away underneath you as the car goes flying over the ditch at over 200km/h. The VX lands violently causing you to bang heavily against the ceiling and continues on for a couple of more seconds before finally crashing into a hay loft.

Wahay indeed.

You continue to watch as the ‘dirtbike dude’ lets go of the chain with the lady thief on the other end. When this happens Lt. Jackson bites back a curse and slams on the brakes. Since you are still holding onto his shotgun, you must stop also less you become clotheslined by the doubke barrelled weapon. The VX does get far away though – as soon as the dirtbike dude leaps into the vehicle about hundred metres away the car veers violently of to the right, flies over the ditch and continues on it’s merry way producing a dust cloud that could probably be seen from the moon.

However, it is the thief that soon catches your attention. Coming to a stop about hundred metres behind you and Jackson, you consider her to be either dead or unconscious before surprisingly, the battered and bruised woman manages to climb to her feet.

Then she starts to run off.

Jackson: Well don’t just sit there! Go grab her before she gets away!

You wonder how the hell someone could get far in this burning wasteland but it is at that point that you realise that with the dirtbike dude in the VX, there is most likely a suped-up, pocket rocket, dirtbike lying not far away.

ooc: Parts or no, you don’t have the required tools to make the repairs you need. I’m afraid you’re going to be stuck in that ditch for some time yet. Leave ME to rot eh?

Mentally cursing you take in the damage done to your vehicle. There’s a fair bit of panel work that needs to be done but what hits you the most is that missing wheel. Taking a closer look you can easily make out where the axle broke for all you can see the jagged end of one side of the break. You conclude that the missing foot of axle must still be attached to the detached wheel.

The wheel could not have gone far. If you can find it that would be less cash you will have to folk out once you can get your vehicle to a garage. Or at least a bunch of parts like it. So with this in mind you grab your bow and arrows and set off for the station wagon.

All the while the kangaroo continues to watch you idly.

It only takes a few minute to reach the broken remains of the wagon. The front end is a mess; what can be seen is little more that a bunch of twisted metal. Movement from inside the wreck catches your eye, it is the driver – and he is alive and conscious......

Re: Road Warriors

* The Mystic sits up, rubbing his head. He looks around, and clamberss out of the VX, readying his only remaining weapon - the lead pipe. *

* Jumping out of the hay loft, he tries to locate the escaping thief, who has his chain, Fluffie, who will soon have his bike, and the ground, which harbours his bowie knife somewhere. *

* Who'd've thought such a simple assignment would involve the loss of almost all The Mystic's possessions? *

Fluffie smiles and nods, before letting go of the shotgun he had been holding so lovingly for the past few moments. Steering his bike on an 'intercept' course with the lady thief, he puts his pistol away and readies his mace, smiling like a crazed and blood-smelling Dutchman.

Driving like crazy, trying to keep her to the side that his mace is on (right damnit, right hand!), he plans on doing the old knight beating down weak bandit from horse tactic. However, since that's most likely to fail, he tries anyways \o/

He'll probably miss due to her dodging or slamming back, which'll mean he'll have to try and use his l33t skills to evade, he stops after having done so (failing, or maybe, oh dear, succeeding? ) and gets off, before running at the lady, this time both mace and pistol in hand, holding them in a way (as in, the mace ready to batter and the pistol ready to airvent her chest) that'll hopefully scare her, he yells something in the lines of...

"STERF SLET!"

Yeah.

Indeed.

That's what he screams. Dutchness approaching, eh?

Oh yeah, after her looking very suprised and so, he says something again, with a raised voice, but not screaming nor roaring out.

"Like, stop and lay down?"

*Cid decides to keep a few spare parts instead of cashing them in. These include the crossbow, the crossbow bolts, the nail bombs and the ration pack. Everything else he sold for scrap. A total of $6730. Cid was chuffed with this taking and decides to immediatly place a few things on his hatchback before entering the competition.*

-Buying and Installing-
Steel Plate Armour (3500)
Turbocharger (2000) -1 engine slot
Circular Saw (600) -1 front bumber slot
Roman Candle (450) -1 front slot
Fireworks (175) (10kg)

Cash Remains:
$5

Vehicle Remants:
- 0 Front bumper slots
- 1 Rear bumper slot
- 1 Front Slot
- 140 kg Storage
- 6 Engine Slots
Holds 40 (+100) litres of fuel
Uses 2 litres/per post

*Cid, now that his vehicle has been fully installed, first places the severed head ontop of his new Roman Candle, using his chain to hold it in place, before quickly hasting towards the event, not bothering to waste his fuel to get their. He mantains top speed, hoping he would make it in time and hoping even more that no-one tries to stop him in his tracks. Otherwise he could see another fight on his hands.*

I don't want your damn lemons, what am I supposed to do with these?
Demand to see life's manager.
Make life rue the day it thought it could give me lemons.
Do you know who I am?
I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down!
With the lemons.
I'm going to to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!

Re: Road Warriors

*flapjack quickly leveled the bow at the chest/waist area of the driver, pulling back all the way and ready to release*

Get out of the vehicle, unarmed, or i'll give you a nice hole in your chest

*flapjack then waits for the driver to either do something stupid (trying to take out/aim a weapon at him) and shoot the driver, or for the driver to get out of the vehicle unarmed in which case he will take a quick look at the car again, this time to try and find some pieces of rope*

ooc/ hmm, tools to repair a broken axle if you don't have 1 handy, let's see, i'd need:
1) the broken axle, all parts of it
2) the major parts such as the steering parts in working order
3) a nice hot fire, can be made with either wood, coal or gasoline (not diesel tough)
4) a hammer, or other blunt object
5) something to grab the extremely hot broken axle and later still really hot fixed axle with
6) a bucket of water, oil or diesel fuel for cooling the fixed axle in a rather fast way, preferably oil or diesel fuel because they won't cause corrosion of the axle
7) a little luck, strike the hot broken axle in a wrong way and it shatters, making it even more broken /ooc

Re: Road Warriors

Due to a session of endless scrubing and sudden housework there will be a further delay.

(Hey at least I'm giving you reasons now )

BTW... I hope you all know how much gas you've used so far...

i do have a good use for gasoline, we can pour it over the aussie and light him up, just to give us a little heating in this ice-cold thread
