Laptops for gaming
Anyone know if a laptop could run a game like Command & Conquer? I need to play computer games in my caravan.
Thanks.

er, which command and conquer game?
only important difference here between PCs and laptops is that laptops tend to have poorer graphics than an otherwise comparable PC, and cost a lot more.
a couple of strategy games with highly efficient engines are earth 2150, and warcraft 3, if you want to run such things on an aging laptop.

More questions would be answered if you either looked at the recommended specs of C&C:G and/or told us what the specs of the laptop are/will be.

A "laptop for gaming" is otherwise known as an oxymoron.
PS: Don't expect anything better than slightly choppy GTA:VC at best. As for UT2003 and/or 4 or other things of that ilk: don't make me laugh!

Are you telling me that a Mobility Radeon 9000 with a decent processor won't run GTAVC?

I haven't got a specific laptop in mind just so long as I can play games like C&C Generals. It sounds like I can/t

It all depends on the type of laptop you buy.

Just make sure it has a seperate graphics card of at least 64Mb, and you should be fine.
I saw one in dixons for £899, with an Athlon XP 2500+ and a Mobility Radeon.

So you're paying $400 extra to have an alloy chassis.
I think that disqualifies the rest of your post.
