Support Tag, Allied Tags and Cross Defence

With all the current drama on support planets/tags whats enforced and not, I would like to make a suggestion on a change to how alliance cross defense works...

Looking at some current alliance members sizes:

ConspEresy 60
p3nguins 54
NewDawn 33
VGN 29
Howling Rain 25
ReHaB 20
Astatores 21
Mitchas Marauders 5

Currently if any alliance is allied then you can cross defend between alliances without any eta bonus.

This has resulted in support planets placed into a support tag and used for the gain of 1 or 2 planets, its not a new issue and ofc the rules rarely get enforced properly.

Why don't we change how the alliance relations work to avoid this...

When allied the member count must be at least 50% of your alliance to be able to receive defense.

This would mean with the current numbers, ConspErasy would be able to defend any alliance but would only be able to receive defense from alliances with at least 30 members, so Newdawn could defend but VGN could not.

The effect of this would be that big tags can support the little guys but very little guys cannot support the big tags.

VGN could defend P3ng, HR could not Defend P3ng....

Can always defend a smaller tag!!
