Following up on the good trend, that RaH has already set, Olympians are hereby announcing its intention of going Solo for a random round 9b.

As already stated before r9, we are convinced that private gals are partly responsible for blocking to the extent, that we saw in r9, and welcome the random universe, that most alliances are hopefully suited for.

We hope that all other alliances will join in an "unblocked" universe in r9b, which will provide so much more fun, that we can continue this in r10 and onwards.

Congratulations to both RaH and Olympians for taking this step, it would be great to see many other PA alliances take the same steps in the interest of keeping whats left of the game alive.

pitty that its only now that allaince's are comeing to there sense and not blocking,

Heh, before someone incredibly intelligent points me to the extreme fairness of the 'weetnar' block, NoS and RaH allied to form a counter weight to VVOMM and WEET... originally.

Just because a minority of players have fun in a war they are sort of forced into havel. It doesnt mean the rest of the game universe does. And with skill and effort you should be able to do just as good in a unblocked random round right?

i agree with dread on this one. reset would piss me off massively. as in, what was the point in my staying up every single night to cover my galaxy if it was all for nothing, hmm? just cos some people couldn't handle the pressure...

Jeez...u still get ur rankings and stuff its not like they are suddenly cutting u off like last round.. So where u end up count just as much as any other round and if that is what ur worried about then THAT was the point of staying up every nite.. Furthermore what is wiv the egoistic attitude ? 1/5 of the game is having fun now, so obviously the remaining 4/5 should just bow into whatever needs u have.. Tbh I couldnt care less if they run another round or not, I'm just saying try to see the bigger picture and thus far this round has been everything but an incentive for new ppl to play r10 which is what pa needs to survive: MORE PEOPLE.

not my fault you couldn't handle the first half of the round. and by the way i don't have a big planet, nor am in any major alliance.

there were only 2 reasons i bothered. the one that matters here is that i assumed i'd have the rest of the round following any declaration of war between weet alliance to rebuild, roid and enjoy. but thats not going to happen now.

I think these "come out of the closet" threads on AD is quite... out of place to be honest. Why should someone applaude these?

And the lack of pressure? Excuse me but being used as basicly a roid farm so far this round night after night by the blocks I think our members in IPC have had their fair share of pressure.

When you look around and see planets with thousands of roids and high scores in vacation. There you have the people that didnt take the pressure.

We fought tooth and nail for anything we got this round. Previous rounds as well, and so have other small alliances. Being independent and played this game as it was meant to be, proud of its alliance and co-members who they both endured and fought alongside with, as well as rejoyice and have fun with.

Before you come out of your closets and get applauded for doing so and so. Try walk in the footsteps of those who done so for the past rounds. I hold alliances such as FC, Eden and similar in higher regard than any in this game. Playing the game on equal terms will never happen, but randomness and alliances avoid blocking and rather stand on their own feets would probably get it close too.

A lot could be said about Nef, both possetive and negative, but I know I can deppend on him in a tight spot and he probably is one of the more skilled players in PA. Its just a bit hard to show that when PA is all about numbers and politics.

And call me cynical but I dont really see this happening. I seem to remember before a previous round that all the talk was that there would be no blocks. However when the time came for this words to be put into action on group decided not to which then gave everyone else a reason to go back on their word.

Maybe you two will suprise me and actually carry this out when those around you dont follow suit but I think I probally have a greater chance of seeing a flying pig

After being abandoned in my largely NoS dominated gal (with a WP mamber who got hit by Weet as well btw), after they all went vac mode, I expect my planet is not much larger than yours wipey. I had the option to go into vac mode with them, or stay and fight with my other, non-block alliance gal mates. I chose to fight, losing over 50% of my not all that impressive roid count. I cannot condone the policy of running and hiding when things go bad, I don't know where that order came from. Howevere, to my main point:

if there is no round 9.5, or
if there is blocking in round 9.5,
then I almost certainly will not play round 10. There is little point: I have no desire to join an alliance which blocks, and if I don't then whats the pointy of bothering to play, just to be used as a farm?

so, long live an unblocked universe..... maybe PA might make a round 10 then...
