I'm scratching my head all day trying to make an avatar without success. I have a picture of an old man but it has to many pixies, a url for a brain going around in circles but it won't link the url due to the screen going white and full of garbles text.

I wan't an avatar like every one else

Can some guy tell me where to go??

a better brain that just squeezes under the evil avatar file size restriction

and JC's nobrain pic resized

finally, my nobrain pic resized

(I accidentally deleted rather than edited the post when I added the third link so here it is again.)

I used JASC's Animation Shop 3 to resize the brain, and then fiddled with the optimization options to find an acceptable mix of file size and picture quality.

The still pics were simply resized with Irfanview.
