Re: Brian Clough has died
Ahh the sweet 'ol insane alcoholic nut-job has finally passed on eh?
The moment that made me like him was when he gave a pitch invader a clip round the ear. Funniest thing I'd ever seen.

Re: Brian Clough has died
be nice, ppl
at least he had a character, unlike most of today's managers. He was fun, and should have had the england job. You can't knock how much he achieved with a shit club like Forest.

One of the all time greats. "Ole Big 'Ead" will be sorely missed.

vageuly amused at the headline of the sun, when I anticipated them talking about another beheading in Iraq.

Re: Brian Clough has died
RIP Cloughie.
The greatest manager Derby has ever had.
Reidy - theres a video on the derby website here taken last year when he was awarded the freedom of derby. He also mentions the Derby job was the greatest he ever had.
I've been reading some of his quotes in todays papers and they are top - like:
About Sven - "At last England have appointed a managerwho speaks better English than the players."
About O'Neill: "Anybody who can do anything in Leicester but make a jumper has to be a genius".
About foreign imports: "I can't even spell spaghetti never mind talk Italian. How could I tell an Italian to grab the ball - he might grab mine".

Shame the board didn't like him! There were riots in derby when he was forced out wasn't there?
Reidy - he has the record for least amount of games taken to score 200 goals - 217 games i think, for Middlesborough and Sunderland.
But only got 2 england caps.
The 'establishment' hated him.
