Saw it in the theatre when it first came out. Very entertaining.

Old jokes are getting old
But nonetheless, Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood taking on a german fortress. What could be better?
(Maybe understanding the plot a bit better :/)

IF you choose to post on GD then YOU WILL know who a fair proportion of the posters are. For example, you will know that dda's age is second only to Dead_Meat's. As such, you will not make such a shit post again.
Your description of Yahwe as an arrogant tosser is probably shared by some of the board. However, I fully agree with his post.

It's perfectly simple. There's a german double agent high up in the british intelligence services, and there are numerous "lesser" agents, who are leaking state secrets. They make it seem like a valuable american general has been captured, and set up a team to go rescue him. They get Richard Burton (who the double agent thinks is a german double agent, but is actually a triple agent) to lead a team comprising all the men they suspected of being german spies, and Clint Eastwood, who is american and thus above suspicion as he's not a member of the british intelligence services. They infiltrate the castle of the eagles, and 3 of the men are revealed to be double agents; the others are killed. Richard Burton gets the 3 double agents in his team to write down the names and contact details of all their agents in Britain, by pretending that they are triple agents and he isn't. They then kill all the high ranking German officers in the place (after convincing a gestapo agent that the german army officers have got a plot to kill Hitler), and run out with explosions. They get rescued by a plane which has the two high ups from the start of the film on, and it is revealed that one of them is the high-up double agent. He then commits suicide.
There's some more to it than that, but that's a basic rundown.

Tempting to just say 'sup' in reply to this
Anyway, MAYBE I should have said 'insert old joke here' instead, maybe you would have understood what I was getting at.
And I make what posts I want. The mods of THIS board can then decide what to do.
P.S. Thanks Jakiri.

When it comes to GD I'm only a mod when someone posts porn or asks for a clarification of the rules. The shit post alert still goes off though, and my mod status is immaterial to that.

It wasn't meant as a joke. I was 22 years old when it came out in the theaters. I went to see it.
Now, if I had said that I couldn't remember what it was about, that would have been an old joke. See the difference?

I'd sentence you to a public debollockation followed by trial by salt but, alas, I haven't got the energy for any full-on sadism today.
