War against terror going slightly too far?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/4561059.stm

Anyone else thinking it's getting out of hand? To compare environmental and animal rights activists to Al Qaeda is stretching it a bit far . There are certain similarities, but I have yet to hear of environmental and animal rights activists highjacking airplanes and crash them, or similar.

Re: War against terror going slightly too far?

Why is the US always declaring war on social phenomena?? War on Poverty, War on Crime, War on Drugs, War on Terror. We've never won any of these wars but we keep declaring them.

The eco-terrorists sounds as bad as the anti abortion lot, without the covert state support of course

Re: War against terror going slightly too far?

The spelling of Qaeda seems to have got worse as this thread has gone on...

Edit. To the person who neg-repped me: This is an english speaking site, so spell it in english.

Yes, I certainly hope no countries are giving these groups any sort of funding - that would be helping terrorists, and we all know what Bush thinks about terrorists and their allies...
