Ever caught yourself looking for a good sniping point while you wait for the bus after a 5 hours long raid on a FPS?

When are they going to make more videogames like the old lucasarts ones (Monkey Island and the such)?

The worst that has happened to me was being attacked by tie fighters while on the toilet after playing Rogue Squadron for a few days. Never found myself actually trying to do something from a computer game in real life though, no matter how long I have been playing.

I do this occasionally. I also look for hiding places, ala Thief, but that's more from hanging around with an extremely paranoid Thief fanatic than playing the game per se.

Also, the reason that there aren't many lucas arts style adventures nowadays is that lucas arts is now run by executives who have no clue how the industry works.

Hmm I've dreamt about solving things in games/programming before, but much like homer and his amazing device dream I always forget it by the time I wake up.

I think it's up to the opensource / freeware devs to revitalise the adventure game genre. Clearly companies are not going to take the risk until they feel it's commercially viable. As such I'm working on one now.

When I used to play pa seriously and was a BC I would dream of it but not the txt it was like real life doing everything but I always have action dreams could write many movies on them.
I also used to wake up with a start in the middle of the night with the feeling i was under attack and go out to my computer and sure enough I was 3 hours later go back to bed when i was covered.
I am so glad I do not do online gaming anymore.

Although I also once spent a good day playing Rainbow Six over xBox Live! and then said 'Tango Down' to a passer by when we seen someone get knocked over
