There is little to respect about most alliances.
Results don't mean anything in PA as the way those results are gotten are in most cases the lowest points in PA history.
Most current alliances play the game in such a way that they make life miserable for non alliance and new players. Many alliances seem to have designated their alliance to be more important than the game itself.
I can respect some individual players but an alliance .... nah

Iliad - said by most to be a joke, but it was a nice community with good players, and im sure we deserve more credit than what we were give...
Legion - The endless death machine of rounds gone by, glad i was part of it
Titans - faultless
F.E.A.R. - not really an alliance, but i dont think i could find a better group of people to spend those long winter nights with
p.s. tomkat, get over youself, your a whinging little twat who is ignored by most, run along and have a bitch somewhere else.

FAnG - for being the ally I founded, having great solo players +
best BC (Irvine!)
Fury - for managing politics perfectly .... ( BACKSTABBIN AHOI)
ToT - for being the loyalst alliance and the only one which is
100% trustworthy (... just their porno-attitude sucks ^^ )
Titan - for being one of the very few enemies I had respect for
while fighting em
CELL - for being a legend
My respect for LDK receded first time, when they did that lil betrayery with the credit cards... and although I didnt play this round activly, what I saw demanded on me for the last bit respect I had for em... their attacks are great, their defence rawks, their single player skill is exremly high.... but its all build on cheats... and unlike other alliances which got single players cheating, LDK uses unfairness systematically.... but still they won the round and I gotta have to respect that as well ... if I want or not :P

P10dn rocked in r4. I remember my old gal The Guinea Pigz lead by Era and Sebicus was the last gal to join befor they closed the recruting. We got in becuse of a dedication to suecide defending and attacking. hehe. Then again went on one singel suecide def run when we were a part of P10dn .
So much fun to actualy be abel to cover planets with millions of incoming from the big alliances at the time

I don't know if I'm quoting hobbie because I agree with him, or because I can sense the desperateness of saying the same thing twice before someone will pick up on it.

Legion - for being t best and you gotta lov rampage - although acts really mad on irc te dude is really quie and friendly
FAnG - for all the enemies and the hatred round 7 has to be ne of my favorite rounds.
Blackdeath - round 2 we were elitist, round 3 we were a newb army, but was a great place for me to learn how to play
Titans - Made from people genuinely pissed wit how things were going in legion. Some call them backstabbers, I say they are truthful and all the troubles they had to put with when we left they showed true heart and grit and determination.

Re: The alliances I personally respect
Wolfpack => Though the idea had always been better then the real alliance. It was more the dream they stood for. (Sort of the 1up of that time)
Fury => For being the only alliance that could organise massive missions on it's own. For example when in r3 Quha was putting up a great fight and made a lot of alliance shiver. The moment they first seriusly tried to take on fury, fury organised a full counter offence and putted them out in almost one night.
Legion => For their real cool members with a pretty arrogant style of play. And always liked to had in my galaxy on my side.
ND => They earned my respect in the later rounds as they came out as quite a alliance with fighting spirit while no one really expected.

Re: The alliances I personally respect
Respect? Well I don't really 'respect' anyone for something in an online game, but I'm impressed by the fact that people spend so many hours on something they are addicted to. I'm not saying that addiction is sane in anyway, so I can't respect them, but there's people who are good at their addiction, that's for sure. ;-)

Re: The alliances I personally respect
I could always respect the effort ppl put into creating an alliance which is good enough in their oppinion (even if it turns out to be crap after all that work). There isnt a single alliance I could think of which I dis respect, tho sum alliances might have done some things I dont like at all... It was all prolly ment for their members best interest.

Re: The alliances I personally respect
VtS: Starting out in round 3 my friends and I viewed them as some kind of terrible gods that walked among us, they owned the universe, plain and simple
Fury: um... same thing really
BD: because... well because I was a member, you guys rocked
UV and HR: because they were cool basically... on the flip side I have to say I have no respect for cell, because unlike these two, who knew how to play nice, cell screwed us
Not many have mentioned concordium, I still remember people getting chills at the sound of thier name
In closing, my favorite quote ever:
Originally posted by Synthetic_Sid :
Our junior division was called Legion. At the end of round 3, we promoted the best ones to our intermediate division (Wolfpack). This only left the incompetent and inactive ones, so we closed down the Junior wing at that stage. We did, however, allow them to carry on using the Legion name and continue as a seperate alliance - it would have been cruel not to leave them with something.

FAnG - The original rnd7/8 crew. My heart. Allways.
Ðragons - The Core, the real, the true. Owage mofo's!
Elysium - For providing me a home when I needed one. For the finns.
I suffer from Nostalgia :/ Perhaps that'd be a nice name for an alliance some day.

ViruS - what else can i say? the people in it are among those i respect the most within this game. we were dropped by HC while they went to make Xanadu and we managed to rebuild and become something more then the flak that was left out to crawl and die.
FAnG - while their hatred was arguably brought on by themselves, they still dealt with it every round and managed to show the universe that no matter how disliked, they were here to be reckoned with.
Xanadu - always set out to win. let alone while some failed, Xanadu perfected a wing system and with it, countless times they raped the hell out of me. respect for your enemies.

Re: The alliances I personally respect
I think people gotta respect anyone who either
a) wants to make an alliance from scratch in round 11/12, and succeeds, cos its very difficult
b)Is in this to become a better alliance but is not afraid to declare war on others for fun, not pickin on smaller alliances
c)Helps other alliances grow to make the game even more competitive (and the fact that they gain an ally)
d)Realises this game IS A GAME.....and doesnt get stressed when ppl do things against them in PA, i mean its no fun if you always had everythin go your way...
not mentionin any names to people who have helped us and meet these things but u no who u r!
anyway...im off

XXV Rd2 - made up of some of the best class people ever to grace this game, people like..... Rampage, Dinoman, KingMonkey, MT, Egor, Angelicus, Eyeris, Stinkins (cannot remember his exact name but much respect for fighting off PopK and 2 other high ranking Fury at Egor's and losing 115 mil score of fleet for arriving 1 tick 2 early) and various other people that know who they are.
Parallel Alliance from Rd4 = FU2, started out as Thor and after skimming off the deadweight, u know the rest. had some of the best players involved as well as well known galaxies. Cray, Germania, LLG, Carpeia, Dino, and others. KicktheBaby gal rocked as only a great gal could.
a little bit of early history for everyone before going to topic.........
Rd1 Concordium owned all, BT was growing its power, RE, IPC etc
Rd2 the rise of Legion and Fury to dominate the coming rounds, the fall of BT and WaC (overbloated alliances from mass recruitment which born the idea of elitest groups, small organized and ruthless) Virus, the birth of Elysium from the ashes of WaC, the formation of Aeternals for Rd3 from the core of XXV, the reorganization of the remnants of TE to TSU,UV, the destruction of New Dawn and its secret reorganization etc.
Cluster 4 was a stronghold that hardly anyone was crazy enough to attack, their cluster alliance this round was stronger than 3/4th of the known alliances in the game at the time.
Rd3 witnessed the first full blown Block in Legion,Fury, RB which strangled the game in its grip for many months. showed what true organization will do to a game like PA. excellent players all around and everyone outside the "triad" was dogmeat for the hunters. i myself included, Top 10 visited me every night, the days of sleepless nights, of Texarkana, Sid, Raevenloft and others coming to visit my gal of 13.12.
Aeternals lasted all of maybe 2 months,(had the #1 player the first month (LLG) till the combined might of the triad overwhelmed us after Legion took out C34 AE in a cluster war) was rife with traitors (kejome) but through it all was born a lasting community of friends that reside in #eternals. you will never find a better group of players than in Jo,Butler, LLG, Kingmonkey, Angelicus, Eyeris, Ade, MT, Miserableman, Pneumonic, OIS, Muadibe,DarthBob,Barrow, ..... the list goes on
Rd4 The age of change, the beginnings of the end of the golden age of PA. Xanadu's full rise into power as a strong alliance though it had its beginnings in R2-3. Nos/Cell were born in mid to late Rd3 but were destined to be good in this round, played the political game to a T and ended up smelling like a rose in the end. A round of trials for Fury, who was tested by Fire and reborn thru determination and the strength of its true players.
Rd5-9.5 the throes of Death of PA, P2P, stagnation of block wars after a month or so of gameplay. the same tired political games, the game just got old for most players. still fun in alot of aspects but the thrill was gone.
now to the topic in hand.........
respected alliances =
Legion - i play with them in SWG now, have known many of their members since Rd2, best group of players ever to grace PA.
Fury - my Alliance from Rd4 to 6, organization, determination, never give up attitude, ruthless, you were set down from the get go with how it was going to be and thats how it was done, no questions asked. Rivaled Legion and any other alliance in terms of strength and power, exuded confidence at all times.
BT (Deus) - great people, knew how to have fun, loved to play the forum game, after its reorganization was always in the big picture and nearly always kept its members covered in times of need. Lokken, Patrician, Miserableman etc etc class Act
Aeternals - my PA family for always and forever, saved my butt 2 many times to count, couldnt ask for better friends.
Xanadu - enemies always, great competitors, masters of the Waved attacks
LDK - same as Xan
RaH - some of the best times in my time in PA was enjoyed while playing with you guys. Petal, Avie, Lenin, Maddie, Empy, DA and Dark_Angel^, and so many others whose names escape me at the moment. felt right at home with you here, but have lost touch since RaH quit playing PA. miss u all.
Other alliances worth mentioning as being involved in the top stage of PA = Eclipse, WP Rd4, other WP, Titans, Fang, Vision, Virus, Oly, Nos,Cell, Ministry, etc etc.

How can anyone forget the fall of Concordium and final victory for C7R?

Re: The alliances I personally respect
Hya rumad, thanks for the comment
Ahwell, seeing im bored while the machine is pulling backups, here's my list:
TFD - The birthplace of many pa players from the netherlands, altough many moved on to other alliances it was the start for many.
Concordium - Always admired.
Legion - The first few rounds were a blast, sadly as previous posters have said the game went downhill / stagnated -just wasn't fun anymore for many players. (And I personally couldnt stand the political mumbo anymore, if someone dares to approach me ever again about nap breaches, retaliation attacks or gal defenses at 4 am,... die ) I still think we made the right choice by officially leaving the game after round 7.
Fury - Respect, no doubt.
Xanadu - Love/hate relationship, perhaps we'll meet again in WoW.
Nos - Very annoying, causing me sleepless nights, well done
BT - For all the great times in #tubatv !
And ofcourse the Lemmings from Hirr and many others , basicly anyone willing to go trough all the hassle of settup up and running an alliance, it ain't easy .

Re: The alliances I personally respect
ReBorn -- despite the fact I ultimately betrayed it, all errors aside RB was great, and built of strong character.
Wolfpack now, because I like what they stand for.
Most of the others have been mentioned often enough =)

Re: The alliances I personally respect
HyBRiD wasn't an alliance, but BlackDeath and Howling Rain cooperating.
Personally, I love and respect VGN - only reason I'm still here ;-)
