Free accounts and scans

It really sucks that free accounts can't even do unit scans

Its simple really, if you want scans upgrade your account. Find two others in the same situation and its only £3.30 each or find someone who maybe bought the 3 account package and has one left over

Oh well... I got my account paid to be a scanner, and I can't see a problem with people having to pay to be scanners.

The reason it sucks is that players that are testing the game will just be sitting ducks when thay can't tell what is attacking them and can't attack as they have no clue what to attack with

But without such restrictions why would anyone pay and then theres the scan planets problem.

Scan planets themselves arent a problem, they are a valid tactic in this game HOWEVER they are a problem when scan planets are free acounts signed up for by a paid player with the view to cheat . These free planets need limited to prevent them being used for cheating purposes

First of alll put a little more faith in the multi hunters. Second of all scan accounts really aren't the game's problem atm. The lack of player is. So there are 30 more scan accounts in the game. Big deal. As long as a couple of new players are attracted to the game I can live with some jerks getting scans for free.

yeah I think if i got a little further into the game i'd pay to keep my planet moving
but as it is what i've put my time into isn't worth keeping going.

Got to lure those free planets in a bit further to get them to pay to stay.

Because the love the game and like to support it?

Give the paid planets some extra things, just for fun, which won't make their planet a better planet. New players have all the time to check out the game and when they love it, they'll donate in the end.
Those extra things I mentioned could be funstats, userinformation page (tell about yourself) when you click on the planetname or whatever could be nice for players.

(These ideas come from Hattrick, a game with 250k players and still free for new players who like to check it out).

Why not prevent them from attacking paid accounts too? In fact, why not have a seperate universe for free accounts?

With no paid creators and a few k players (not much serverload) why is paying still needed anyway?
