Welcome to the long and drawn out criminalisation of
extreme pornography, even when it's between consensual adults. Graham Coutts seems to be the reason this time. It quite reasonable really, because, you know, he was most likely an upstanding citizen before he randomly stumbled upon some extreme pornography on the internet.
I guess it all started when he made a typo in his google search for "pictures of kittens because they're so cute lol" which the typo inadvertantly turned it into "death sex pain suffering vice murder." Or maybe he started on a bit off Jessica Alba and then his soft and delicate spirit was slowely corrupted by some of the more extreme pornography to the point at which it had completely altered his very personality.
Or maybe, shock horror, he was a little messed up
before he viewed those images. In this case we should delegate the decisions on what is good and bad for society to a group of elected parliamentarians. Those Iain M. Banks books are a bit dark sometimes, you know. I bet they'll corrupt a few people in time. There are countless television programmes that would do the same. You know, there are even countries out there that purport different ideologies to ours. What if they corrupt people?
It's a good job we've got this DNA database, CCTV cameras and internet surveillance legislation too, because thanks to that we can monitor these deviant's relations and acquiantances in case they have any future malevolent urges which may endanger society.
