Data Retention
Anybody know if a free reference is available online for UK laws?
I am particularly interested in Data Retention law.
Any information would be appreciated.

Re: Data Retention
Thanks.
Is it the Wiki article you're pointing me at? If so, its not really what i'm after.
I want to find the actual laws, as written, regarding data protection in particular commercial data retention with regards to finance functions.

Re: Data Retention
The EU's Data Retention Directive.
I don't think it's integrated into UK law yet though. As for general UK law on this, Jakiri's Wikipedia link is probably the way to go.

I'm looking into, pretty much, what the requirements (presumably in some kind of money laundering legislation) are placed on a corporation to store past transactions and if there's a limitation on the amount of time this could be stored.
I realise I should have mentioned this. sorry to have wasted your time...

If that's codified anywhere it'll be in POCA
