O2 users - problems texting?
I get an error message to every text i try and send today. Strangely im able to make phone calls though. My phone (Samsung D600) was working last night in every way and i can still receive texts. I think some of them are going through as ive sent "test messages" to myself, received 'error' messages, but about half of them are coming through.
Are they ever being sent? Probably not. Hopefully not, otherwise ive been charged for about 50 texts today i didnt send.
Its been a lovely O2 christmas for me - yesterday i found out ive been billed £170 for two months instead of £75 +/-, and after an hour of arguing on the phone (which will cost me yet more of my cash) i was told it was "my word against theirs" in my quest to get my money back.
Anyway, anyone else on O2 having problems?

Re: O2 users - problems texting?
O2 are a shit network so dont be suprised. Probably the amount of texts being sent atm, means its difficult to send them, wait a bit and try again, im sure it will be the same new years

Orange ftw. 1000 free texts per month for me on my contract and never had one problem with them since I took the contract out over a year ago

Re: O2 users - problems texting?
the wife is on O2 and n problems for her, oh, and contact trading standards about the phone bill 'your word against theirs' generally means that they are in the wrong unless they have cast iron proof that you have run up that money

Re: O2 users - problems texting?
mention the words trading standards, and small claims court to them next time.
the burden of proof is on them to prove they have charged you correctly, rather then for you to prove they havent.
if they still charge you, not sure if you are able to but you could contact your bank to cancel the payment perhaps?
if yahwe was around he could sort you right
never thought i'd say it but dammit i miss him

Just shout 'Guilty until proven innocent' loud enough or shine a bright light into the sky with a map of the British Empire on it, and you can be sure he'll come a running.

Re: O2 users - problems texting?
I'm on O2 and I've had the same sort of problem. Although interestingly despite my phone saying "Sending Failed" nearly every time, some of them obviously get sent because I got some replies.
It's annoying though.
O2 have been pretty good apart from this.

Re: O2 users - problems texting?
Whoever is having problems with o2 just text 'UPDATE' to 80202. It refreshes your billing and sim settings (at their end).
Dont ring customer services - as we (in store) have numbers to get straight through and it wont cost you a penny.

Re: O2 users - problems texting?
oooh Madina do you work for them / know about them?
does anyone know how I check my current bill? I'm on O2 online but it's quite a hassle to try and work out how many free texts / minutes i have left.
Also I text abroad a lot but they don't seem to be counted in my free texts (?). Can I get something so I get cheaper texts abroad?

Re: O2 users - problems texting?
It's been a bit iffy all day. I'm on Vodafone and I've had some that sent and were delivered fine, some that sent and then came back saying "undeliverable", and some that refused to send at all.
It's christmas day so it's a bit busy - that's all.
